Looks like a vintage Weaver J scope on it.

The only id on the scope is B4...Weaver El Paso Tx. Mounted in a Weaver tip off 22 3/4". It works well, adjusted it for first time in years last month. Most recent shooting at 60 yards. Spot on.
Remember, it's not how many guns you have. It's how many bullets you have.

The J series was before the B series. Looks like its a mid-60's or later scope. Nice.Cofisher wrote:The only id on the scope is B4...Weaver El Paso Tx. Mounted in a Weaver tip off 22 3/4". It works well, adjusted it for first time in years last month. Most recent shooting at 60 yards. Spot on.

I had an unusual experience. I took the rifle down for cleaning and gave it a good scrubbing. When I reassembled it, it would not fire. After several attempts to get it going, I took it down again. When I took out the firing pin, lo and behold, it was bent! WTH? No clue why, but a little plier work and all was good. How do you bend a firing pin while cleaning? Oh well, several shots later, I am a happy plinker again. This gun continues to amaze me. It works so much better than I do. I know you have guns like this. Isn't it cool?
