Antique Original

Post by RanchRoper » Wed Mar 11, 2026 8:49 pm

Was at a gun show couple weeks back. I was able to shoulder an original 1860 model Henry .44 rimfire rifle. Dated to 1863 and in great shape. Very tarnished and worn obviously but it was a beauty. History in my hands for a few minutes.

Take it home for $30,000.

I would love to see one and to get to handle it is cool. And at that price it would be easy to hand it back and walk away.

That is VERY cool RR.

I got to see Mr. Imperato taping a show at NRA headquarters featuring the "new" Henry original and an original. That's as close as I got to a real one.

That was GREAT to do that RR! Wonder what stories it could tell if it could?

I have not handled the HRA original version of the 1860 so I can’t comment or compare.

But my Uberti feels like an exact replica. They did a good job based on how the antique felt. It felt same as mine. Stock, weight, everything.
