I caught up with this thread after putting a home made coffee cake in the oven. Mary's sister and husband are stopping by to visit our grand daughter on their way from their camp (visible across the bay from ours) to their oceanfront home in VA. They are the last of the out of town family to come by. Their place is winter ready and they stayed there for a couple of weeks around the holidays. (Ours is seasonal only) It's snowing pretty good out and starting to accumulate.
The coffee cake will end my holiday cooking. Back to regular meals.

Cool Dave. And if I had stopped by, and was offered cake, rather than saying, "No Thanks, I'm on a diet." I could smile, and say, " I'd love a thin slice to go with my coffee. " I could adjust my count later. Even if I go a few points over once in a while, it still works, as long as I don't fall back into the See Food routine.

Coffee cake, man it has been a minute since I had any. It w a something dad made occasionally when we were growing up. I need to contact my sister and see if she has a recipe. I'm not sure there is even one.

Coffee cake is one of my favorites. My problem is I have friends that stop with too many goodies.

I’m back under 180 at 179.6. It didn’t take me long after gaining 5 for the holidays. I see my nutritionist later today at the Wausau VA.

We had an ice storm and the doctor canceled. I saw five cars in the ditch along a one mile stretch. People were still in their cars.

First time under 179 since gaining. 178.4 was the official weight.

Did my weigh in yesterday morning. Same as last Sunday. Wife fixed 2 pecan pies first part of week. That didn't help any. Least I didn't gain any.
