Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
31 and overcast here heading to the mid to upper 30’s depending if we get a sun break or two. Colder more seasonal temps for the next week with some possibility of some snow here and there. No promises of a white Christmas. But we are looking at a strong possibility of mountain snow we need desperately. More wind today but nothing like we have experienced earlier this week.
Not much on tap today other than maybe going to downtown Spokane again. My wife bought a new Apple laptop and they are having issues transferring the data from her old one. Hopefully they will get it figured out today.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
The temperature isn’t too bad at 18F. It’s the 19 mph wind with gusts up to 40 that is freezing me. Hope I don’t get drifted in as I have the hang coming for the Packer/Bear game.

52 at 1PM .... out temp is forecasted to rise another couple of degrees this afternoon before dropping back to an overnight low of 31 .... looking up, not a cloud to be seen in any direction .... first thing up this morning was to off a load of trash .... after that, removed an empty 40 lb tank from our camper and had it filled .... now settled in to watch college football playoff games .... tomorrow morning we are scheduled to leave early and drive just under 300 miles east to Great Smoky Mountains near Asheville .... this up and back in one day, mostly over I-40, cruise will be our first for our Chevy 2500 pickup ..... I'm looking forward to finding out how her interstate gas mileage will stack up

Whenever I hear the town of Asheville I think of the movie Thunder Road with Robert Mitchum.JEBar wrote: ↑Sat Dec 20, 2025 2:31 pm52 at 1PM .... out temp is forecasted to rise another couple of degrees this afternoon before dropping back to an overnight low of 31 .... looking up, not a cloud to be seen in any direction .... first thing up this morning was to off a load of trash .... after that, removed an empty 40 lb tank from our camper and had it filled .... now settled in to watch college football playoff games .... tomorrow morning we are scheduled to leave early and drive just under 300 miles east to Great Smoky Mountains near Asheville .... this up and back in one day, mostly over I-40, cruise will be our first for our Chevy 2500 pickup ..... Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Happy Winter Solstice all, summer’s coming!
Not too summer like here with a temp of 28. Maybe some rain/snow later. Rainy and or snowy most of the week but nothing like the rain and wind we have experienced for the last couple of weeks. Looks to be heading to a more normal weather pattern.
Had a busy day yesterday assembling furniture. Several weeks ago we ordered new recliners and a week ago we ordered a temporary dining table and chairs. Of course everything arrived at the same time.
The chairs were from a dealer in Coeur d’alene Idaho and I saved the cost of delivery by picking them up myself. That caused me to have to do the simple assembly. The table and chairs were from Amazon and required more extensive assembly. It will be nice to not have to use the rickety card table for meals anymore. Whenever my wife makes up her mind on the permanent dining table this one will move to the patio.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
our morning started out pretty much as planned .... up at 5:45, pulled out of the driveway on our way west to Asheville at 6:30 .... amazingly light traffic .... just under an hour later, almost to Durham, I was hit with an intestinal flareup that forced us to turn around and came back home ..... whatever caused it seems to be backing off but no way have any interest in spending 8+ hours on the road .... the trip to Asheville will have to wait until after Christmas .... 51 at 10:30 AM under a clear sky .... 59 supposed to be today's high with it going to drop back to 27 tonight ..... no clue as to what, if anything, we will do for the rest of today

Good morning, 34° going up to around 60 later.
Grandson spent the night he and I are going for short hunt this morning before I leave for work. Starting a small job not too far from the house. Couple days worth then I'm done til after the first.
How about a couple of 1860's?

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
38 at 9:40AM headed toward today's projected high of 52 .... they say it will fall to 30 overnight .... no rain mentioned for the next 10 days .... our mobile RV repair guy is due to come by around noon to work on our camper's propane furnace for the 4th time .... I have no problem with his efforts so far, rather I feel he's gotten some defective part(s) .... once he takes care of the water heater we will be ready to move our camper (4 miles) and set it up at our son's home where our family gathers for Christmas
