New addition to my 3 1/2 inch 45 Colt collection....

Post by fortyshooter » Fri Nov 21, 2025 4:09 pm

A very nice Uberti S&W No. 3 Schofield in 45 Colt. Range trip coming in few days but it is sweet looking! Made the shoulder harness out of stuff I had and it will fit other short barrel revolvers. Easy to put on and nice and light.

That is different. Is it a break open?

Yes it is a short 3 1/2 inch barrel Schofield. Hard to find sometimes but I see Taylors & Co. recently got a few. I found this one on Guns International.

Cool piece. Are you headed to catch the 3:10 to Yuma?

Raining here too, I'll grab my Colt in case you need backup.

Very nice looking rig. A lot of folks don't know that S&W made a Schoefield in their classic series several years ago. Among the many guns that I helped my late friends widow sell, was one of those in the original caliber. , also a new issue 1917 revolver . I didn't keep them because I ended up with a large Fort Knox gun safe and I could not afford to pay full value for any of the others . I did get my edc a Glock 36 with four magazines.
