Thanks, I tried it and found it's the windows key and period on my desktop computer.

You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

I don't look back at the things I can't do anymore with regret, I just look forward to the things I still can.

Don't know much about emotional access. I do know there are no heart symbols to 'like' a post. ???
Remember, it's not how many guns you have. It's how many bullets you have.

They won’t return fish according to Dave as they conflict with the forum unless the programmer figures out a fix
Don't let the old man in

FYI

I had an impulse to look at the Hall of Fame pages just 'cause I never do. Unfortunately, after the recent server migration, it's not being updated. The last posts reported there were made on October 31st, which is when DsGrouse reported that Mags' IP address had been banned.

I think this is very odd.

Those pages have to be retrieving data from the forum databases each time they're accessed, otherwise they wouldn't exist. There would just be a bunch of error messages. But they do exist. So why aren't they being updated with new information? It might just be an error in the code or maybe there is another, older instance of the database, one that is no longer being updated but is still being accessed by the Hall of Fame pages?

Regardless, it is odd. And, I wonder if other areas of the forum may also be similarly affected.

I'm guessing it's the Search Indexer. After a migration it needs to be rerun to re-index the whole database. Right now the indexer is only indexing new stuff since the migration.

I'd been banned for the last several days, but not today. Thanks, Dave.

Mine says that I'm banned, but if I ignore it and just hit log in it allows me to do so.

I found myself totally banned even with VPN. Then I noticed the orange banner message to login anyway. That worked with VPN. I'll try again without VPN is a few minutes.

[update] Although I still get the banned message when I bring up the forum, I can do the 'login anyway' without VPN. Thanks Dave. I think you're getting there!

You might try clearing your cache, and hit the delete cookies icon at the bottom of the page. You will have to log back in but it might clear the banned message. Can’t possibly make things worse.🤨 Or could it? 🙏🏼
