Peep Sight Adjustments

It can be done. What you want is to drift the sight so it is perfectly aligned with the bore vertical centerline. Not easy to do just by eyeballing it. We're talking thousands of an inch.

I appreciate that. I think I'll give it a try. Just the tiniest bit of movement should be plenty. I'll go low and slow.

BassCliff, You have motivated me to drift a post that I have be contemplating about how to address my concern. I replaced the front sight with a fiber one. It hits a little to the right. The rifle had a semi-buckhorn rear sight. I was thinking about a peep sight. Yet, I wanted to keep it as traditional as possible.

So, this is extent of the gunsmithing tools that I used to hold it in place:

I put a digital reflex sight on mine, Holoson 407K, It's small and mounted to the dovetail on top of the receiver, it looks good and works perfect for shooting out to 50 yards. It doesn't look out of place on the Henry at all, and it made my accuracy better.
