It’s a short eight game season so every game is important.

I had to look at the thread, if only for the title.
I hope your team has a great season.

Nice! I pitched in various hardball leagues in the Sacramento, Calif. area until my early 30s. My arm eventually said no mas.

The gang all bought t-shirts, hats and hoodies to wear to the games. We are the ones making the most noise.

I'll bet the team really enjoys having great fans like the gang. Sounds like a fun time.

The team are our friends and neighbors. I buy gravel and rocks from the catcher and see a few in church. You can’t go anywhere close to home and not see someone you know.

You certainly landed in the right spot there Gene. It sounds like Norman Rockwell painted your town.

It really is a nice place. Last night the Osprey broke a 2-2 tie in the top of the ninth and scored 7 runs and held on to win 9-2. Our gang was six people and we were a third of the road fans. We were also making the most noise in our matching red team shirts and hats.

I met one of the Osprey’s grandmothers. We didn’t know his name and always called him “little man”. Turns out he is only 14 years old and he is playing with men anywhere from the 20’s to the 40’s.

Dang, must be a movie script in there somewhere. Good for “little man”. And his proud grandmother too.

I'd have to say you did land well Sir. It's like you turned back the clock. What a great way to spend your retirement.
Congratulations on immersion in the community.

They lost last Friday 7-2. We were getting the hits but left the bases loaded twice. I think every inning someone was left on base.

We won last night and are now 4-1 with a makeup game tomorrow. The gang was all there last night. Here are five of the eight in our group. We made the most noise. So much noise some of the players walked up and asked who we were and told us they appreciate us.

An Osprey made a nest on the lights. They were catching fish in Rib Lake across the road and feeding the young. Both parents raise the chicks.

They feed mostly on fish but will also catch rabbits. Last here we saw one swoop down and catch a rabbit on the field in the middle of a game.
