Is an absolutely fantastical firearm. I just love that big ol thing, and it is pretty big but hitting a steel Silohuette at 100yds is a favorite pastime of it. Ive had it for about 5 years and have never really shot it much, Ive determined thats going to change, I always seem to grab my Dan Wesson 1911 to shoot 45acp but I just pocked up 500 230gr ball rounds from RMR and I loaded them all for the 97.
The DW is somewhere between production and custom and is deadly accurate but the CZ97 is more accurate than it.
The recoil impulse is so different from the 1911 too. Its more of a very gentle push and the front sight tends to stick to the target. Thus far it has been completely reliable and no malfunctions that I recall. It shoots semi-wadcutters too, actually feeds them better than my 1911. Yesterday I shot about 250 rounds through it and at least 50 were the 200gr SWC's.
Mine certainly is not stock. With both of my CZ branded guns, this 97 and a P-01, before firing a single round in either I ordered a kit from Cajun GunWorks called the Pro-pack and both came out unbelievable. The 97 has an action that feels like one of my S&W revolvers. The DA is so smooth and light and the SA, its simply amazing. I do believe I am gonna start shooting it more.
Does anyone else have one of these? CZ discontinued them a year or two ago and I understand why but I think if they would have found a way to stuff a few more boolits into the mag that thing would have been a better seller. As it were it was introduced during the national AWB thus limited to 10 rounds but there is a little wasted space in the double stack single feed magazine.
The site should be fixed. We show secure now, we should have a favicon and the picture aspect should be better.

Re: CZ 97B
Well Bill I have one and you are right its more accurate than any 45 I own in 1911. I love mine but dont shoot it to much. But I also have about 5 other CZ pistols and rifles because Im a CZ addict. Ive got a CZ TS 2 in 9mm I havent even shot yet. Getting back to the 97 Id put it up aginst 1911 3 times what i paid for mine in accuracy. But like I mentioned I just dont shoot it much

Re: CZ 97B
I've only seen one CZ 97 for sale, a used one at our LGS. Didn't know much about the model, so I passed on it and then went home and read up on it. I was impressed with what I found, so went back to the shop the next day for a more serious look and, yup, it was gone. I can still find a use for an easy and pleasant to shoot 45 auto, though.
