Well, I would get one of those big Sharps if I could get Quigley to hold it for me.

I know he hand loaded it and cast his own bullets. Also something about using bullets from a British rifle or something.

Yup. Near the beginning of the movie, he explains that he loads his own ammo.North Country Gal wrote:I know he hand loaded it and cast his own bullets. Also something about using bullets from a British rifle or something.
In "The Quick and the Dead," how many bullets did Herod (Gene Hackman) give Cort (Russel Crowe) before each gun fight?

Easy. One. Another great movie. I think Sharon Stone did a great job. Not usually a big fan of hers and an unlikely western actor, but she pulled it off.

Okay, since I'm a big 1911 fan, in what movie did Bruce Willis use two 1911s to clean up a town of bad guys?

Okay, jumping ahead a bit, but another 1911 question. What movie spawned and action shooting sport that uses 1911s as the pistol?

The LR is much older. I think the WMR came right after WWII. The WMR has about twice the speed of LR. The LR bullet is .223 while WMR is .224.

Caliber .30-06. Standard capacity magazine is a 20 rounder.
Where did Henry Repeating Arms make their rifles before they were in Bayonne, New Jersey?

The answer to my question is that the FN FAL is select fire and the SLR was semi auto only (apart from the L2A1/Canadian C2 which were capable of full auto).
