Range Report: back to plinking

Post by Sir Henry » Wed Dec 11, 2024 11:10 am

I work on my shop every moment i can and have not pulled a trigger in several months. Its 17F and getting colder so no heating and working in the shop for awhile.

My Ruger Charger Mare’s Leg was begging to see some action so i loaded four 10-round magazines and stepped outside.

I missed the first three shots and then hit the gong every time after. Hitting an eight inch gong at twenty-five yards should not have been missed. Chalk it up to not shooting i guess.

3 misses followed by 37 hits tells me that it didn’t take long to knock the rust off. ;)

Great to see you shooting, again. I've been recovering from my first cataract surgery, so no shooting for a while. That's a good excuse, anyway, given how cold it's been. Yeah, you picked a cold day for shooting. We'll be getting down below zero, tonight.

I went Skeet and 22, 9mm ect shooting yesterday. My new target is just a lot of fun to shoot with 22. I highly recommend it. Good to see you out again Gene

I like those targets, Al. Thinking about getting a set.

Gene, thanks. I'm anxious to see how all this will affect my shooting.
