I want a LEVER .45 ACP…
Design-wise, Henry may be able to adapt Supreme to some kind of square magazine, or perhaps even Glock, assuming Supreme in rifle calibers is a success. But they will not risk the liability of putting a .45 ACP into a tube magazine. That is despite certain adventurous companies selling 9mm and 45ACP conversions of Marlins and 1873. The issue is that although nothing will happen under normal circumstances, it only takes one idiot who cannot install the primer right to start a ruinous lawsuit.

They may be convinced to look at a Big Boy in 10mm or 30SC, because bullets are always flat-nosed in these calibers.

We're talking about a Homesteader in .45 acp in this thread, not a revolver (hence it's placement under the Henry Homesteader forum).

I just saw that one of the Italian old west gun companies has made an 1873 lever action in 9 mm. I am sure that cheaper ammo has a lot do do with it.

Do you have a reference to it? I haven't heard of either Rossi, Uberti, or anyone more obscure make one. The only 1873 in 9mm that I know is Taylor:

Taylor is known for tuning and re-selling Uberti, so perhaps that's confusing. The 9mm project is their attempt to jump-start an American production line.

Al....My self imposed gun buying rule is "NO NEW CALIBERS". My wife is also onboard with that rule! I keep reading about the 10mm being a top choice for bear protection and it's almost as powerful as a .41 magnum. SEW....If grizzlies come to Wisconsin I'll skip the 10mm and strap on one of my .41's. :D

I do have to confess to asking the LGS if they had any in yet. ;)

For me it wouldn’t be new as I own a 10mm 610 4 inch Smith and Wesson. I looked at the Ruger but Id need to buy one in another state right now as the only one available has a 30 round magazine. It did peak my interest though as I am a 10 mm fan
