Joined here because I've decided I needed a lever action in my life. Don't know why but after my brother brought out dads old Winchester 94 a few years ago I can't get them out of my head. Decided the Henry would be the way to go. Trying to decide on BB 357 or 30-30 for deer or just bummin in the woods.

I fully understand the "need" for a lever gun. I wish my bank account could keep up with my needs/wants. I am leaning hard in the direction of a .357 carbine. But then there is the Small Game Carbine rimfire that keeps tempting me.

Thanks for the warm welcome from everybody. I'm a little east of Mesa in Apache Junction. To RS, my dad and brother mentioned in the OP were both seebee's. Dad was on Midway during WW2 and brother did one tour in Vietmnam 69-70 I believe. Me like a dummy had to go a different direction. Army.
