I once bought four magazines for my AR from a guy in Barrow, Alaska. They were genuine USGI issue mags from his time in Vietnam. This was through eBay, sort of. It was back when they wouldn't allow anything gun-related, late 1990s I think.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Fair, 30°F, Humidity 64%
Wind Speed Calm
Barometer 30.53 in
Sunny, with a high near 49.
Southwest wind around 10 mph.
I slept late this AM but coffee is on the way.
I talked to a very good old friend in Eagle River, Alaska last evening and he
has over two foot of snow in his yard. Out weather is usually about the same
as theirs, but we have no snow and today it's supposed to hit near 50 degrees.
Outdoor work today.
We are still in a bad drought though. No fires allowed.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
27 with a pink sky so I believe we will see some today. Yesterday turned out to be a beautiful sunny day which is greatly appreciated this time of the year. Today is supposed to be overcast but so far I’m liking the condition of the sky. High in the 30’s with no snow/rain expected until next week.
Today I plan to finally finish my outdoor burning. The other day when I expected to do this I ended up with a late start due to the dog going to the vet. He’s fine, just an ear infection.

Very foggy this morning: will be cloudy all day, low of 30 and a high of 40. Heading into big city for supplies this morning and probably make more Christmas goodies this afternoon. Everyone have a great weekend!

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
33 overnight which means once it gets light we will have overcast skies. There is a good chance of some afternoon sunshine today. Other than a quick trip to BiMart in Deer Park to pick up some CCI Blazer Aluminum 9mm for $9.99 I have no plans. Finished up my burning yesterday. After spending a couple hundred bucks last year on a fake tree my wife decided she wanted a real tree this year.
After looking at trees at Fred Meyers for $70 we cut this beauty from our own property.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
It was 60° and breezy this morning. It's only warmed up a couple of degrees since the dog walk. I'm not doing much today. I may start on an oboe repair; we'll see how I feel.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Good morning 49 with rain on the way.
The grandson and I were out walking yesterday and found an old hickory had fallen across the 4-wheeler trail. Benton was trying to move some of the smaller logs and got stung by a couple of ground wasps.
Well, this morning, we went and took care of the critters. They got a gasoline bath.

While there, he tried the machete on the main log.
He wanted me to get the chainsaw and cut it up, but the other evening I was helping load a washing machine and tweaked the back.
So it'll have to wait, we can drive around for now.
After disposing of the pest he proceeds to wack the main log with a machete.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Mid 50's this morning and breezy. It's gotten a bit cooler since I walked the dogs as the cool front has moved through the area. We didn't get the "major" thunderstorms that were predicted. We did get a bit of rain but not very much. I have a few clients today but nothing tedious.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
another beautiful morning in Central NC .... not a cloud to be seen in a beautiful Carolina Blue Sky .... 28 overnight where we are camped near Four Oaks .... currently 48 on its way to 62 .... predicted overnight low 41 so it will be well above freezing when strong rain storm is predicted to blow in .... they are calling for over 12 hours of rain tomorrow with some high wind .... looks like a day when having a camper in which one cam be comfortable will really come in handy
Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
22 with overcast skies. There is a dense fog alert for this area but so far we don’t have any. High in the 30’s with no perception expected. Not much on tap today other than putting the Christmas tree up. Small tree = small job. Not a task I enjoy. That and load up the firewood rack on the patio. A task I do enjoy. Yeah I know, an outside job v an inside job and I got it backwards.
