Good morning, was 25 when I got up, 27 now, with a high in the mid 40s later.
Sunny and clear with a light frost.
I bet the deer are moving, but I didn't venture out to see.

Outside it’s 7F plus 11mph wind equals -6F. Inside it’s 68F with heated floors. Folgers in my Henry mug and pumpkin pie on my plate. Life is good.

Looks like winter is bustin’ out all over. Seems like that happens every year damnit!

29 here with a forecast high in the lower 30’s. Yesterday we didn’t see the sun so the high stayed below freezing. We’re having an inversion that’s keeping the low clouds/fog in place keeping our temps down. By the end of the week it’s supposed to warm up and snow/rain.

Making a run to the dump today and then probably taking the dog for a hike. Not much else on tap.

It was a cool 41°this morning on the dog walk. It's warmed up to 52° at this posting. I just had some cereal and coffee for breakfast.

The wood heater has been working since yesterday afternoon.
Another chilly one here as we'll be down into the mid 20's again it the AM.

Ah, you talkin bout the old Ashley. It's been a good one, makes for a nice comfy morning here in the cave on the 20 something morns.
It's 29° here this AM, with a high in the low to mid 40's. Got a 2 mph breeze and bp is 30.37 and rising.

I have a nice heated and air conditioned shop so that's where
I'll be today. What I'm doing is cleaning. It's been several years since i did that
and it needs it. I'm almost done as I've been working on it for about a week.

18 out there but the sun is coming up so hopefully we’ll have some upper 30’s later. The local weather folks are starting to suggest this weekends snow may be the accumulating type. The fun starts early Friday and is supposed to continue thru Tuesday. The forecast temps for the daytime in Spokane is mid 30’s so there’s a good chance here at my place we won’t get above freezing. I’m thinking here I may see 6- 8 inches of the damnable white stuff.

So today I’ll be out raking the last of the pine needles out of the gravel driveway and doing any other clean up needed while I can still see the ground.

happiness is an injection in my knee .... first up this morning was just that ... it i supposed to take a couple of days to work but I'm happy to say that its working already .... its a beautiful but cool 52 degrees right now and that's as high as it is supposed to get all day ... if it gets down anywhere near as cool as the 20 degree prediction for tonight it will be by far our coldest temp of this fall ....

Glad your knee is feeling better Jim. It was 49° this morning and now it's 63°. I cooked bacon, eggs, toast and coffee for breakfast.

Cortisone? Several years ago, probably at least 5, my left knee was hurting enough that I was wearing my brace when doing anything strenuous, especially when bowling since it is my planting, sliding and bending leg. Went in to see the doctor who replaced my right knee. After x-rays he said it was not bad enough for Medicare to pay for a new one. Said he would give me up to 3 cortisone shots a year. Got one that day and within a few days it was feeling great and I've still haven't had to get another shot.

Tweaked something in my fake knee when digging a trench this Fall and it was sore for a few weeks, must not have been anything too serious as it's fine now

my left knee was replaced 6+ years ago .... its done well, no problems .... for the last 5 - 6 years or so I have had an injection roughly every 3 months in my right knee .... so long as that continues, no replacement will be considered

We're out of the deep freeze for a few days.
JE the VA has told me that my right knee is almost bone on bone but they won't
do anything for it. So far I can live with it. So far.

22 last night, only going up to 47 this afternoon before dropping back into the low 20's tonight .... thankfully no precipitation .... after lunch I'm scheduled to drive to Pinehurst for a root canal ... not looking forward to that

Woke up earlier to a crisp 19. Expected high today is somewhere in the mid to upper 20’s with an upper level fog keeping the sun away. The pine trees are getting frosty needles, looking a lot like Christmas out there. Snow coming on Friday. We are suffering an inversion layer and the Spokane city area has a burn ban in effect for everything including wood stoves unless certified. Here at my place no stove ban but there is an outdoor burning ban. I was hoping to complete my outdoor burning down the hill if we get snow this weekend. Hopefully the storm will scrub out the inversion and the burn ban will be lifted.

Waiting for the Dish tech to arrive, ouright dish box failed yesterday. It’s been a bit wonky for a few weeks now and is now not working at all. Hopefully the tech will have a replacement aboard.
