Right back at you Vaquero.

60 here in the Inland Pacific Northwest with an excessive heat warning starting today and lasting until Thursday. Peak is tomorrow at 104 in Spokane. Of course tomorrow is this weeks golf day. Thankfully we are playing in Idaho at a course that is a bit higher in elevation with a prediction of 99 there. And even more thankfully we are taking advantage of a senior special that includes a cart. We always walk and never ride in a cart and if that was the case tomorrow I would not be out there. We should be okay and will be done before the heat peaks.

Leaving this Saturday for the lake and we are expecting a big cooldown to the mid 80’s. Perfect!

110 predicted for tomorrow, thankfully supposed to be back down to mid 80's by Saturday and closer to normal temps long term.

I was worried that with our early and higher than normal temps our creek would go dry or too low for irrigation but so far it's been OK. A nearby ski resort has been increasing their snow making capabilities so it's added some more reservoirs which may be helping.

A very warm for us 63 this morning. Heard it was supposed to only drop to 78 in Spokane last night. Sure feel sorry for the folks who live without A/C in Spokane, been there and those are some pretty awful nights. High today is 103 in Spokane and up to 111 in surrounding areas.

Playing golf today but between riding in a cart, lots of water, being done before the peak heat and playing in the hills of North Idaho we should survive. Predicted high of Spirit Lake ID close to where I’ll be is 99. Breakout the sweaters.

It was 79° at 6:30 this morning on the dog walk. I didn't read the humidity, but I know it was probably in the 90's as when I walked out the front door my glasses immediately fogged up. I'm posting this a bit after 9 and it's already 87°. We hit a high of 104° yesterday and don't see any reason why we won't make that mark again today. There's a whopping 20% chance of rain today. I just had cereal and coffee for breakfast.

109* here today with another couple in that range, then back down to 80s after Friday. I’ll be getting the AC going for sure!

We are 2 hours due north of Hatchdog, and I presume similar to dave77.

Woke up to 68 which is the highest low temp I can remember in a while. Seemed like it was overcast but the weatherman said it wasn’t so. He called it haze but I think it’s upper level smoke. We had a new fire breakout across the border in Idaho not far from where I was golfing yesterday. But the typical direction of the wind would take the smoke away from my place and towards NW Montana. Now here a few hours later here’s the sun trying to peek thru which is definitely smoke. Thankfully it’s upper level as there is no odor of smoke.

Another day of triple digits, upper 90’s tomorrow, only in the 80’s over the weekend and 77 for Monday. Yippee.

63 this morning with again Smokey skies partially blocking the sunrise. High of 97 later with both a heat warning and a fire watch warning in place. Winds are expected to pick up and continue thru tomorrow with gusts to 35mph. That will be big trouble if a fire breaks out, finger crossed.

Today we will start prepping for our Saturday departure for the lake. Taking the motor home to Costco to fill the gas tank as it will probably take 35+ gallons. Do our normal monthly Costco shop and back home before it gets hot.

I don't know what the temperature was on the dog walk this morning. I try not to look at it since if I knew what it was, I probably wouldn't go out. Right now it's 96 and the weather folks say we may hit 104° again this afternoon. We're hoping that a tropical depression moves our way so we can get some rain next week. It's weird saying you wish a storm would move through, but we need rain badly. I cooked bacon, eggs, toast and coffee for breakfast before going to the doctors.

We are very much on fire watch here too. All of BC seems to be on fire. Smoke has been horrible. Lots of evacuation orders in place. We are looking at high winds and “dry lightning” overnight and tomorrow. Going to be a tense few days, but there is rain forecast for mon and tues.
