Woke up to a refreshing 46 and again watched the sun come up from the patio. I’m getting tired of waking up at 4:30 but I sure do enjoy the sunrise. High today is 78 with the upper 80’s by the weekend and into next week.
Brought the new motorhome home (that’s almost redundant
) yesterday. Had a real uneventful pleasant trip home. Never driven a motorhome before and I found the experience to be fine. Of course this was on a four lane highway and a four lane interstate on a calm day with no load in the motorhome and nothing being towed behind it. Can’t wait for a 40 mph crosswind towing up a mountain pass.
Today we plan to get familiar with all the features and maybe start loading up the basics that will live in it.

Whats the OAL height of that MH Hatch. Im one to sit out the high wind stuff. I heard one guy say MH and fifth wheels are cessna 172"s. Im in no hurry and towing a 13 ft tall 5er in the wind thats 41 feet long is just asking for trouble. Rainy here again today and for the next few days. Been wet here.
Al, it’s 11’3” at the top of the A/C so probably around 10’ body height. That alone directed us to a class C as my shop door is only 12’ and neither a class A nor a 5th Wheel would fit in it.
Coop, I hear you on those trucks passing and wanting to suck you in or push you out. When pulling my trailer the trucks coming the other direction on a two lane highway moved me pretty good. Coming home the other day the trucks that passed me going the same direction did indeed push me towards the shoulder.
Woke up to 45 but the weather guy said Deer Park official was 38. Either way it was a cool but nice start to the day. High of 78 is expected.
Meeting the lady who bought our boat this morning at her bank and then delivering it to a lake about 90 minutes north. She has a slip in the marina there. This is Priest Lake and one of the most beautiful lakes in this area. North of my place about 60 minutes just across the border into Idaho.
Yesterday evening my wife, dog and I were out in the motorhome doing some looking and planning and my wife yells to me to shut the door so the dog doesn’t get out. Looked out the window and this bull moose was about 20’ away. By the time I got the door closed and my phone out of my pocket he had wandered past the rv so I didn’t get an indoor picture. Here he is about 50’ in front of the rv with a rv included pic for perspective. Fun!

Those invisible rain showers on what was supposed to be a totally cloudy but dry day! I will have a forest to cut if it ever dries enough down at my range.
