Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Up at 3:30 with pain in my foot. It was so bad that I couldn't sleep. I got up, showered, and walked the dogs in the dark. That was a new experience for me. I was surprised at the number of cars I saw driving in the subdivision at that time of morning. Anyway, it is 65°and the weather app says it's cloudy. I didn't look up so I don't know if there were stars visible or not. I haven't had breakfast yet but thinking of cooking bacon and eggs this morning.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Good morning, sorry about the foot pain Jake.
Coop, glad y'all made it home safely.
It's 40° here this AM, and headed towards 73 with clear skies.
Have a few clouds out towards the East, but that's it.
Mowed the grass yesterday for the first time this year, and I did change the oil before and cleaned the air filter. I do need to get a replacement though.
Hopes everyone has a great day.

One measly degree out and four inches of snow on the way.
Edit: I forgot to mention the 50 mph wind that is on the way.

It’s a gloomy 35 outside and a nice toasty fire aided 68 inside. We are supposed to see 50 or so today but I don’t see it unless the clouds leave. After taking yesterday off today I’ll resume splitting firewood.

Area schools closed, many area activities canceled. Maybe I’ll just clean a few rifles I’ve been neglecting, everyone have a great day!

32 with a high of 47. Overcast to the east but blue sky to the west which is the direction our weather normally comes from. So I’m hopeful for some sunny skies today. Tonight brings in a winter storm with heavy mountain snow expected. Spring break for the local schools starts tomorrow and if folks are traveling by road they will hit snows both east and west in the passes. Here we may see some wet snow/rain and we are not expecting any accumulation that won’t just melt away. Windy too.
Gonna finish up the firewood splitting of the rounds I have had stacked since last year. I don’t think it will be enough for next year and I don’t want to run out again. I have several dead trees on the lower part of my place that need to be cut down so I’ll do that and split them up. Work but fun work for me.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Wow!!, we won't get strawberries here until June. We planted some Jewel strawberries a couple of years ago, smaller but so much sweeter than store bought. The last 2 years have not been the best here for strawberries, last year's Spring was too cool, the year before it was too hot. That year it was so hot that the manager of the cherry orchard just above my place said they left close to 20,000 pounds of cherries hanging on the trees. They harvested some by color picking them starting at 3AM and quitting before 10 but it didn't take long for the extreme afternoon heat to ruin most of the crop.JEBar wrote: ↑Fri Mar 31, 2023 9:30 ammostly cloudy, 50 degrees right now on its way to 77 .... heavy t-storms moving in this afternoon; tomorrow afternoon thunderstorms can bring hail and damaging winds .... parts needed to wire our camper so that there is a 12V receptacle in the rear of our camper have arrived .... Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Good morning and a beautiful one it is.
April fool's day, they call it.
No joke I'm going to slap that gong some here in a minute.
61° now and only going up a couple it says, but hey looks like plenty of sunshine.
Had some pretty serious storms roll through yesterday evening, but looks like we faired well. Grandson is coming over later so we'll be out in the woods to see what we can see.
Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Barometer 29.74 in
North winds 10 to 25 mph with gusts to around 40 mph

I'm glad it's not November.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
We received about 18”. My south door has about 4’ and the storm door opens out and is completely blocked. I’ll need to go out the east door which doesn’t have a storm door for this very reason. It also has the wind which removes the snow My front deck was completely shoveled before the storm.cooperhawk wrote: ↑Sat Apr 01, 2023 8:46 amFair, 25°F,
