Sounds like a crappy situation BigAl. It was 40° a few minutes ago while walking the dogs. Breakfast is on my mind. I think I'll fix some bacon, eggs, a slice strawberry rhubarb pie maybe. I'm off this morning to see an old friend so I'll eat a bit extra before starting out.

I know we usually ask for pictures but they aren’t necessary this time.

-22F and a wind chill of -40F. This is the coldest I’ve seen it here.

Well, it's a balmy -6 now and I just fed the turkeys. Usually at any sign of a human they scatter and fly
away, but this morning I notice they are standing waiting. I'm including a lot of sun flower seeds for the
oil.

This has gotten a little expensive but next week we're supposed to have some really warmer weather
and I may start cutting back. In less than two weeks we leave for the South and then the neighbors take over.
They get home from Costa Rica on Sunday. Their turn to feed and our turn to go. :D

I wear sweats in the morning until I shave and shower so I just put on a quilted flannel shirt, leather gloves
and a hat to go out. My trail is broken through the deep snow so I just wear tennis shoes. I do not plan to stay out long.
And I do not.

Happy it’s getting back to normal for you Al,

19 when I got up and 21 now with some filtered sunshine out there. Might get a little bit of snow later but nothing to be concerned about. Tomorrow is supposed to be nice and 44 is the projected high. As I have a trip to the range planned that’s welcome news. For today, nothing scheduled so far.

Partly cloudy today: low overnight was -7 and the expected high is 13; right now it is 4. Making chocolate chip cookies for a granddaughter, she has a friend and classmate that had to have hip surgery, so she wants to take him some get well cookies. She only wants to take my cookies, she took them for snack once in kindergarten and got up in front of the class and announced “ my grandpa makes the best cookies in the whole universe”. Everyone have a great day!🇺🇸

Winds of 60mph, very mild at 45F. Tomorrow take a cruise in the new Jeep with the wife, a big gun show in Lethbridge and then she'll do some shopping.

-45 builds character. A couple degrees colder would take all the fun out though.
