Hello...been looking at 22wmr caliber lever action henry's but cant seem to find many (any) comparisons of them. My intended use is primarily target (100 yds +) so I would expect to use an applicable scope (my progressive lens dont seem to do well with iron sights, sadly). Dont plan much/any hunting.
H001ME = Lever Action Magnum Express .22 Mag
H001TMLB = Frontier Model Long Barrel 24" .22 Mag
H004M = Golden Boy .22 Mag
What might be a good recommendation?
Thanks
Tom

Re: Compare Lever action 22mag levers
I'm not even sure what the first one is, but I've toyed with the idea of one.
Why I don't know as I have a Marlin bolt action 22 mag.
Myself, but I like the octagon barrels, so the 24" Frontier would be my chose.

The H001ME with the Monte Carlo stock is great if you want to put a scope on it. The H001MLB is best with iron sights. The H004M is good if you just want the Golden look with the angled stock.

I don't shoot my Henry .22WMR 100 yards because that's a long walk to hang targets (for a duffer like me.)
I do have a cheap $30 scope on it since the buck horns were replaced with a peep, but the front post was too short. Anyway, at 50 yards I get 3/4" groups (5 shots) off a rest using certain ammo. My rifle seems to like Armscor 40 grn JHP the best, then CCIs, with Winchesters bringing up the rear. I use those for plinking tin cans with people that can't shoot anyway.
I had several .22 mag bolt rifles before, and none of them were very accurate. This Henry has always been a shooter, though.
I've read articles that pan the accuracy of the .22WMR cartridge in general. I'm on the fence about that.

I have an H001M and a small game carbine in 22 wmr, both are pretty darn accurate and reliable.
