Starting to get some ice dams on my eves so today I’ll use my snow rake and clear off the eves. Went into Deer Park to my wife’s cousin’s place (they are snowbirds and are south) and did their eves. They have a big ice dam problem and I wish I had got the snow off sooner. Thought maybe they have a problem at their place but I noticed many of their neighbors have the same issue. So it must have been a combination of wet snow and the thaw/freeze that did it.
you anchor on the shingles near the eves. I have then front and back and they work well. They're low voltage so they don't
take much energy but just gradually melt away the ice.
