Yes it's possible except in Los Angeles, Oakland, Sacramento, San Francisco, and Avalon.

Velocity Ammunition has been a reliable source of bulk ammo for me (free shipping if bulk) and generally has prices of about $1 / round. Funny how recently we would have thought that to be no great bargain. Anyhow, they don’t often have 45LC but I’ve purchased a variety of other Henry rifle and pistol caliber ammo with great service.

Kosher Surplus has conventional and tracer ammo in a number of calibers, including 22LR. Also night vision gear. So far I've just purchased some plain vanilla 22 LR which was delivered promptly.

Tracer is not cheap, but would probably be fun to play with if it's legal in your State (unlike the DPRNJ).

The only factory manufactured ammo I buy is either Rimfire, or shotgun shells.
All CF ammo shot around here is manufactured at Vaquero's Reloadin' Bench, about 7 feet directly to my left.

This is an online source, that I have come to like. Even with charging for shipping, it seems to be cheaper. Just recently, I found it had a box of 38 Special +P about half of the price at Sportsman's Warehouse. I guess Sportsman charge more to cover free shipping:
