Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Currently 81° and headed towards the mid 90's today unless cloud cover makes it in early. We do have a slight chance of rain today. There was a 40% chance yesterday but didn't see a drop. I cooked bacon, eggs, toast and coffee for breakfast. There's a couple of clients coming over today. Both of them are on my favorite list. Katheryn is coming over this morning to get her clarinets ready for the weekend and Chester Rowell (Instructor of Clarinet, University of Houston) this afternoon.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Woke up to a refreshing 37 this morning but right now it’s a sunny 67 and down right pleasant. My wife had an early dr appointment so we did that and hit Costco on the way home.
What happened. Used to be that everything was $10 and now everything is $20. Yikes.
The local weatherman reminded us this morning that in 2019 on Oct 8th we had a wet snowstorm of 6” that broke trees and power lines all over. Big power outages and blocked roads in Spokane. What a difference with this wonderful weather we’re having this year. Forecast is for the third consecutive La Niña winter which should be more snowy than average. Sometimes these events make for good mountain snow above average and average snow here in the valleys. That’s a great event for our water next summer.
Watching the Seattle M’s right now in the top of the eighth down one run. One on one out…..go M’s.

The weather pattern occurring right now on the west coast is called Rex Block.
In the NW still having mild 80* summer like clear sky. Normally we'd be in the 60's with near continuous rain.
All that rain is unusually going into the SW.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
51 on its way to 73 with no hint of rain .... in a few hours we plan to leave home and travel about an hour to spend the weekend camping with our club .... between now and then we need to haul trash and pickup a couple food items .... we hope to be hooked up and ready to pull out between 11AM and noon
Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
37 heading to a marvelous 73 with continuous sunshine. I understand that if we have a couple more days in the 70’s we will break the record for 70+ degree days in October. While it’s nice to enjoy this weather we sure could use some rain.
Despite this weather today Mrs. hatchdog and I will clean, wash and winterize the travel trailer and put it to bed till spring.

SNOW in mid October?
Well, it's supposed to be nicer this afternoon. Light rain.
Our oldest daughter and her hubby are here for the weekend.
I guess we'll spend a lot of time eating out, then Sunday afternoon the
rest are coming for a family get together and feast.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
It’s building fast yet most likely will melt in a couple of days. I’m still hoping I can do some work on the range before the real winter sets in.

Back in the day when I shot handgun silhouette I always liked shooting in the winter as the black targets contrasted nicely with the white snow. Your range pic reminds me of those days.

This is unusual. Don't expect a hard freeze where the ground stays frozen until usually mid November.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
It was 63° at sunrise. Right now it's 77° with a predicted high of 88° today. The rain missed us yesterday by less than 3 miles. Maybe we'll get some Monday as it is forecast to be a 70% chance of rain. I just had cereal, strawberries, toast and coffee this morning. The wife has taken the sister-in-law to see a urologist this morning. Hopefully the news will be good. She's had bladder cancer before and has to be screened every so often.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
51 earlier this morning with high predicted in mid 80’s. But cold front moving thru tomorrow and high Tuesday only around 60 degrees.
Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
42 heading to a sunny but a little bit smoky 71. Hard to believe this is mid October. But, all things must pass as the extended forecast is for the high next Saturday 54 and on Sunday 43. Hello October.
Got the trailer completely put to bed yesterday (sniff) and the old boat winterized, washed and moved to the storage spot under the lean-to. I kept it all open overnight for drying and later today I’ll cover it, put the battery on a tender and put a de-humidifier in it. I hate storing vehicles outside but I’m out of room in the buildings. At least it will have a solid top to keep the snow off.
Next up is getting the snow moving stuff serviced and staged for use.
