My Wheel Guns
I see that I had never started a revolver collection thread. I’m sure anyone partial to lever guns has a similar affinity toward wheel guns. Kinda goes hand in hand. Like with the 1911 thread, it’s kind of a living picture journal you should be able to to see the collection grow and change.
All are welcome to share their wheel gun collections. Here are mine. This is the only pic I have of them together in one place. I recently did some downsizing and these were the keepers.
Left column, top to bottom:
S&W 460XVR 8-3/8” 460 S&W Magnum
S&W 500 8-3/8” 500 S&W Magnum
Taurus Model 44 8-3/8”, 44 Magnum
Ruger Redhawk 7.5” 44 Magnum
S&W 686 7” 3-5-7 Series 357 Magnum
Ruger Super Blackhawk Buntline 10.5” 44 Magnum
North American Arms 6” Hogleg 22/22 magnum
Middle column:
Heritage Rancher 16” 22LR
Uberti 1873 Cattleman Buntline 18” 45 Colt
Cimarron Wyatt Earp Buntline 10” 45 Colt
Cimarron Bad Boy 8” 44 Magnum
Cimarron Bad Boy 8” 10mm
Uberti Stallion 5.5” 22/22 Magnum
Ruger Blackhawk Bisley 5.5” convertible 45 Colt
Taurus 856 Defender 3.5” 38 Special +P
Right column:
Ruger Blackhawk 6.5” 357 Magnum
Ruger Blackhawk 6.5” 357 Magnum
Ruger Single-Six Bisley 6.5” 22LR
Ruger Single-Six Bisley 6.5” 22LR
Ruger Blackhawk Bisley 5.5” convertible 45 Colt
This collection is ever growing and changing so I’ll probably update often.
I have a wall setup in the vault just for revolvers, the pretty ones anyway. Just made up some wanted posters of the family and dressed it up a bit.

Re: My Wheel Guns
Okay, I'll play along.
This is my Slayers collection.
Yes, each one has taken a deer.
The top one is a 44 cal. CVA 1858 Remington replica, and the skull is the deer I took with it.
The scoped SBH in 44 mag. was my first, came on a Thanksgiving day a long while ago.
Then the blued BH is a 41 mag. took a nice doe with it.
The other is a Ruger Vaquero also in 44 mag., took a decent little fork horn with it.

Re: My Wheel Guns
I am a HUGE wheel gun fan. I recently added a rare one to my collection. Only made for a few years, a Ruger Blackhawk 357 Maximum. Miss Tina isn't usually shy about shooting any of them, she decided she didn't want to shoot this one for some reason...
I actually enjoyed it. Thanks to the weight and grip design the recoil wasn't as bad as the recoil on my 357 magnum snubby, the scandium framed Smith and Wesson MP 340. I call the 340 "The Beast" but it's still my summer weather EDC.
The small cartridge in this pic is a 9mm for scale. I also recently picked up a 30 carbine version of the Blackhawk. Thanks to a fellow Henry Forum member I know where to find the scarce ammo. (Though it's not cheap!)
Another favorite in my wheelgun collection is my PPC revolver. Built for ONE task, putting 38 LSWC rounds in the x ring at 50 yards... don't compete any longer but it's not going anywhere. The gunsmith passed several years ago from cancer but not before being admitted into the American Pistolsmith's Guild.
I have a couple ( ) other wheelguns, and of course I carried semiautos on duty for a while. I love my 1911s as well, but I am a revolver fan.

Re: My Wheel Guns
Excellent photos. I liked the PPC revolver. I had cop friends in the seventies that would buy a used S&W model 10 and make one of those out of it. As I remember they used full wadcutter ammo .
