Our Morning Coffee and Weather

62 this morning due to clouds coming in over night. Possible thunderstorms later this morning but it’s still 30 minutes before the local news starts for an update. Planning on getting the trailer out of the shop and starting the preps. We leave on Monday for Sullivan Lake which is about 90 minutes north in the NE corner of Washington State.

79 and sunny in central South Carolina this morning, tried a new coffee as Costco in Columbia didn't have the French toast beans, Sandy and I like this new stuff it's quite tasty

80° with 84% humidity at the moment. More rain is forecast for today thru Labor Day. We're catching up on the rain quickly. I cooked eggs, bacon, toast and coffee for breakfast. I have a full schedule today.

Suppin coffee and still thinking how nice to have gotten a big rain Friday night. .the fall pasture will be exploding this next week. That will reduce the pressure on the hay supply this winter! Every day on grass is one day less on hay and pasture is gobs cheaper to feed than hay, (and a lot less work!) A nice day of rest. I hope everyone gets to enjoy and appreciate theirs. Coffee up folks!

Woke up to a cool feeling 51. Funny how some days 51 seems warm and other days cool. All in the head I suppose. High is 84 with sunshine expected. Next week we’re up in the NE corner of Washington State and after a couple of warm days in the upper 80’s it’s supposed to cool down to highs in the upper 70’s. Note to self, pack some sweatshirts as I expect lows in the 40’s. Gonna be one of those furnace mornings and A/C afternoons type of trip. Man I love September, it’s my favorite month!

Might even hear some Elk bugling, hope so.

Somebody has to get up and get the coffee going early so since it's just me, myself, and I around this abode, I'm doing it... actually suppin on the first cup now...
that, and intersperseing these dot things (....) in my paragraphs instead of proper periods etc.( ok, maybe they are not proper paragraphs with indents and different tropics and all that "stuff"...... ) but I'm an old guy... too late for my old English teachers to salvage my writing skills now..... I could, (in theory "), use proper "periods" and stay away from run on sentences, and stop ending a sentence with a prepositional phrase, but alas, I'm too old and indifferent and lazy to do what I should do..... (looking about at the rest of the world's actions it would seem that my attitude should fit in with the majority of the people running about on the planet, at least as far as "trying to do what i should do"..)....... and, I feel that butchering proper sentence structure is a pretty mild form of idiocy compared to what else is going on....... oh well, I can take solace my old teachers can't see me in action (is "solace" even spelled correctly???) How would a lazy old goober like me know?
Ha! Not following a logical chain of thought, and jumping from one thought to another was another nasty sin to my old english teachers!!
So, as I was getting ready to say when I got sidetracked with spelling issues ...... at least all my old English teachers have passed on and won't feel embarrassment and shame at their great failure in me. To put a postive twist on the situation, (isn't that what all the important folks do nowdays?). they, (the English teachers) did instill enough knowledge in my brain pan, that I am vaguely aware my "method" of writing,(even I wouldn't be crazy enough to call it a "style" of writing)... but I am aware on a basic level that it is not correct..... awareness is the first step for addressing a situation i hear..... but don't hold your breath, laziness will overcome knowledge three times out of four.......
Ah well...... at least the coffee is good and the English teachers are at rest!!!!.... here comes another day...... where will it end up?.... lets coffee up and go find out

We've got the in-law crowd coming today and the weather looks really good.
The overcast is fog and is expected to burn off and be really nice.
A while back we purchased a half hog from a local butcher shop and the bacon and ham is terrific. In fact it's the
best I've ever had, so today we are serving bacon wrapped hot dogs and ham salad sandwiches to our guests.
I'm not sure what else Carol has decided on, but that sounds good to me. She always makes small snacks to ruin
everyone's appetite, but I do like it so.

Happy Labor Day ! .... 70 feeling like 78 on its way to 88 feeling like 94, chance of afternoon thunderstorms .... following a drive over our favorite local Farmer's Market where we will pick up a "box" of canning tomatoes .... they will be processed the afternoon which should complete our home canning for this fall .... I'm in the process of deciding on a way to enlarge the opening of the Pizza Oven we use in our Davy Crockett Smoker/Grill .... this is one of those times it is clearly important to think and rethink before putting a cutting disc in our Dremel type rotary tool

71 earlier this morning with high about 90 today. Higher chance of scattered showers. Got some rain last night. Getting just enough rain along to keep the grass and weeds growing. Depending on the rain, will have to cut grass in next few days.

56 heading to 80 with sunny skies. Leaving today heading north for several days of camping and fishing. It will be “fun” to see all the campers returning from the holiday weekend as we are just heading out. Nice to be retired and avoid the weekends, especially the holiday ones. No cellular coverage up there so I’ll be dark for a while. Darn.

Still only 72, but it's overcast with a 155 chance of a shower and a high in the mid 80's.
