72 and 100% humidity a heavy fog/dew, it's comfortable on the front deck Sandy and I are having coffee. Buster is whining he wants to play ball .Got our first months electric bill yesterday from Tri- County electric co-op $147 not bad for having A/C running.

Currently 75°. We got quite a bit of rain Thursday evening and again yesterday afternoon. More rain is in the forecast for the upcoming week so maybe we'll break the drought. Just had cereal and coffee this morning.

Woke up to a muggy 66 this morning. We had an overcast most of the day yesterday but still hot temps thus the 50% humidity. High today is 93 and it’s somewhat overcast still. Maybe thunderstorms Monday while the rain would be welcomed please no lightning. This area is like a tinder box ready to explode. So far so good!

Took our son and grandson tubing yesterday and had a lot of fun other than the rough water. If we go today I’ll insist on a different lake, yesterday it was son’s wish to go to Lake Coeur d’alene so we did. Still had fun tho and I was very happy to be too old to get on that bouncing flying crazy tube.

We might hit the range for a short while this morning as son wants to get some pistol time in. He lives in LA and doesn’t have many opportunities to practice.

Morning, woke up to the sound of thunder, and yes rain.
Looks like an off & on thing for the most part today.
Didn't check the temp then, but it's 70 at the moment.
The grandson and I set out another camera yesterday and installed new cards in a couple.
Looked for one I moved last year, still MIA.
Guess we'll just watch the rain today, do need to make a run to town later,
the beer cooler is empty.

Woke up to 63 and the high will be 94. Got up at 4:30 to take son and grandson to the airport and on last Thursday we picked them up at 11:00 pm. So in one weekend I stayed up past 1:00 am and got up at 4:30 (not the same night fortunately). Getting up at 4:30 is more common that staying up past midnight (okay, past 10:00 ).

We had a great visit spending one day at Lake Coeur d’alene tubing and the next day at Lake Roosevelt where they rode jet skis. Son has a friend who has a place right at the launch on Roosevelt and even tho the friend was out of town he loaned his machines for the day. Now I’m a total malcontent, this place is perfectly located for me for fishing. He has a large metal building where half is boat and jet ski storage and the other half is living quarters. All this and a five minute tow the the launch. And only an hour from my home. Shoulda, coulda, woulda…

We've been getting some much-needed rain. It's not been a deluge thank goodness. It's been raining on and off all morning. Currently its 85° and overcast. I'm sure there will be more showers this afternoon. I need to take one of our dogs to the vet. Just had cereal and coffee this morning.

We have what is referred to as a high functioning autistic Grandson. I love him to pieces, anyway,
his parents are going on a trip to Europe and he wants to stay by himself in the apartment. OK, but
Grandpa plans to go and get him every weekend and that way check up on him. He's eighteen and
wants to live on his own, OK, but Gramps will be watching. He has a cat and can only leave it alone
for a couple of nights at a time so we'll work that out. I'm sure it will all work out, but...........

We shoulda, coulda, dida! July 1 we made the move from the coast (right on the border at Blaine) to Christina Lake (right on the border at Laurier) so Spokane is now our nearest city. We are at the very tip of the 395. Colville is 40 minutes. Getting pretty much the same weather as you Hatch. It’s been hovering in the high 90s to low 100s for the past month. Lots of lightning storms. Had 2 fires start just up behind our place, but the fire crews were on it quick and two helicopters with buckets got them out in a day.

Getting up to make coffee now, and see who is on the property. Usually a few freeloaders eating our apples…

Some impressive deer there. Right now it's 86° with 77% humidity. Rain is in the forecast again this afternoon. It was a good morning to ride the Harley to my dermatologist appointment. Damn near got run over by an impatient driver making an illegal left turn. Oh, well, I'm still upright. Just had a bit of cereal and coffee before having to take of early. I've got work to do this afternoon.

Now that makes sense, I thought you were closer to the coast especially since you have discussed hunting Blacktails before. Love those pics, do these Whitetails look huge to you? That’s me when I see a Mule Deer, so much bigger than the Whitetails I usually see. Love the pic of the dog watching that nice buck. Happy those fires got knocked down quickly.

Today is a nice change with overcast skies and the chance of rain for me and possible some thunderstorms for those south of Spokane. Hope not as this area is getting pretty dry and a fire could get out of control fast. 56 when I woke up and the high is in the upper 80’s. Should stay cool if the cloud cover remains.

After getting our 2nd day for the month without rain Sunday it was back by mid afternoon yesterday, Still coming down steady at 6am this morning with todays forecast for another 1/2" and a top of 50. Looks better towards the end of the week with the chance of rain dropping under 50% and temps forecast in the 60's

Yeah, we were at the coast for a loooong time, but we hunted and fished this area a lot, and when the right property showed up, we threw a lowball out and they went for it, so here we are!

The white tail here are definitely big. We have lots of mulies too, but they seem to be staying higher up the mountain. The coastal blacktail are small for sure. My buck last year was maybe 40 lbs of meat, and I had almost zero waste.

Yard work and if I can I'll get a hair cut sometime today. I'm getting shaggy.
For not having anything planned yesterday I got quite a bit done. We have two lilac bushes out
back that were getting very dense and large, so I got the old trimmer and attacked them.
I think they won in the end as I have several puncture wounds to my arms.
