Our Morning Coffee and Weather

Morning, and welcome to FRI., a pleasant 70 here this AM, with a predicted high of 88.
My weekend starts today.

65 here in camp at Fort Spokane. Last I saw the predicted high was 100 but I haven’t checked for a few days. It was hot hot hot out on the boat yesterday due to no wind. The previous days we had wind that while it made the boat rocky it sure felt nice. Not sure on the wind forecast for today but we plan only a half day out on the water.

So, yesterday Mrs. hatchdog the big fish slayer got humbled. She managed to put the smallest fish of the week in the boat with this wimpy 11” er. He he he, I put another 13” in the freezer. We seem to be getting fish in the morning but not much action in the afternoon. We are trolling down a length of the lake and then back up the same water. Most of our fish have been on the way down. The trip down and back up takes about seven hours.

That's about the same here at El Rancho Manana. It rained most of then night, but it's supposed to end soon.
We're warm and dry here in the Old Winnie, but the tenters are having trouble with the wind.
The music doesn't start until afternoon and it should be done raining by then.
Meanwhile I can start the genny in fifteen minutes and watch TV and charge up the batteries.

Those fish look like good eatin' Hatch! Currently 81° with 90% humidity. I hear thunder last night but I don't think we got a drop of rain here. There's a better chance of rain today, wishful thinking. Cooked bacon, eggs, toast and coffee.

Morning, it's Nice 66 here this AM, with a high of only 86 according to the Smart phone.
Thinking about some wind therapy later, think I'll drag the ole scooter out and do some cruz'n around.

They had a gully washer yesterday and it did wash out some roads here, but they got
most of them fixed pretty quick.

Rain and slight wind here with highs in the low 70’s. Last night the low was 53. Last weekend I drove to Stillwater, MN and it was dry with the county side golden. Here it’s still green.

Yes, these are good eating trout. They are raised in net pens here on the same water and fed shrimp. When released into the lake they feed on the natural shrimp in the lake. With the very cold water from the depth of the lake they stay stay nice and firm and fresh. This all makes for good eating more so than trout in other local lakes that warm up in the summer making the fish taste “muddy”.

65 here in the last day at camp. Shortly we will be packing up and heading home. Been a real fun week here other than the too hot temps. Yesterday we had our best day fishing with four in the boat and a few that got off the hook. Including Mrs. hatchdog once again hitting a big boy probably in the range of the two biggies she caught earlier. I saw her fish when it got to the net and it was a nice fish. Some might think that I knocked it off her lure with the net……me, never! Anyway, no more boring fish reports after today.

Currently 86° with 74% humidity. We got a nice welcome shower yesterday evening about dinner time. Today rain chances are not as great but thankful for what we got. Just had cereal, strawberries, and coffee for breakfast.

Heading to 72 from an overnight low of 53. Yesterday’s high was only around 63. As the farmers say it’s to wet to blow so instead of working on the campground I’m going to shoot. But first my morning cup of Folgers.

Well, it's overcast at home, but here the sky is clear and bright. After three days of
overcast, it looks good to me.
We're packing things away to head home this afternoon. There has been a lot of good
music, but enough is enough. Time to skedaddle.

63 and sunny this morning hi will be 85, our daughter Susan is coming from Greenville to visit around noon. I'm changing motor oil and rotating tires on her car while her and Sandy have momma/daughter time. We're watching our resident red cardinals and humming birds from the front porch with our coffee
