Currently 85° and headed towards the middle 90's today. There's a slight chance of rain but not much. I need to get out and mow later as the dew dries off the grass. Cooked bacon, eggs, toast and coffee for breakfast.

It's a beautiful morning in Duluth. I'll drive Carol the 10 miles across the High Bridge to
the convention and then I'll hit Mickey Ds for coffee and something to eat. What the heck,
I'm on vacation.
Went on a harbor cruise last evening. Free drinks and all the Pizza you could eat. Our
8 year old Grandson ate a lot of Pizza. Then we went to our daughter's house here and
visited until late. They buy, remodel, and rent houses for Air B and B and this is their
second one here in Duluth. Glad it's them and not me. At my age that's too much.

Mrs. B and I are celebrating our 42nd Anniversary, started out with a breakfast of waffles, bacon, eggs and coffee. She wants to take in a movie and steaks on the grill for supper. Everybody have a great day! 🇺🇸

Morning, 71 and the coffee is fresh ground beans. Hi today of 93. Taking Sandy into Columbia for an eye exam this afternoon. she failed the vision test at the DMV ,She's been legally blind in her left eye since birth but South Carolina needs a letter from an optometrist, she's overdue for an exam anyway so we'll kill two birds with one stone.

Coffee cookies.
We got home last evening and had some chili and chilled out. The drive from Duluth
to home took about 3 and a half hours, but we had to travel through Minneapolis during
rush hour. The old Winnie has a Cat engine and we just stayed in the fast lane
and cruised through. Lots of power.
I have some mowing to do this AM, and then hopefully we can get to the county fair
for a while this afternoon. It's are only chance as we leave for the Blue Grass Festival
tomorrow morning.
The fair is the largest in the state for a county.

It’s 5:30 here in camp and it’s a stupid 73 degrees. At home 60-70 miles away as the crow flies it’s probably 53. Don’t know how folks put up with this heat. Without a nice cool down at night our trailer is like an oven. Upper 90’s to 100 today so we’re heading out here in a few to try to find some fish. Hope to be off the water by mid-day. Yesterday we stayed out until mid afternoon since a cloud cover kept the temps down. Only one fish darn it. Probably 12-13” which is a smaller fish for these waters.

Morning, 72 here, with 97% humidity, a very slight breeze.
A high later of only 84, but some storms are moving this way.

It’s a little bit cooler this morning at 67. Amazing what a difference six degrees makes. Had a little rain yesterday afternoon that only increased the humidity to make the temp even more uncomfortable. Today it’s forecast to be 96 and partly cloudy. Gonna be another hot day out fishing. Yesterday Mrs. hatchdog bettered her personal record fish of 18” from a couple of weeks ago landing this 19” beauty. Personally I have put another couple of bait fish in the freezer 12 -13”. (A nice fish for most lakes around here but on this water there are Triploid Rainbows (non breeders) and they can get huge). Heading out here in a few for more…. :D

The weather here sure has been nice for the summer. We’ve had a few hot days in the 90 however most of the summer has been in the 70’s to mid 80’s. Even the high humidity hasn’t made it seem overly hot. My a/c keeps the house cool even though my electric bill jumped to $116 up from the $70’s.

Well,, time to get the old Winnie out of the shed and load up again. We're off this morning for four days
of Blue Grass Music and food trucks. :D
We went to the fair last evening but were disappointed. There was not tent show this year for the first
time in ages. Sad.
The weather looks pretty good for our trip. I just might rain a bit overnight tonight, but for them most
part it looks dry and not too hot. There are no hook ups at the festival so we have to rely on our genset
which we can only run a couple of hours in the morning and a couple more in the evening.
We actually park in a horse pasture complete with horse manure. :o

Currently 82° with 86% humidity. We had quite a thunderstorm blow through last night. A couple of fairly large branches came down off one of our oak trees. There was no damage to the home. We're finally catching up on rainfall but still down quite a bit. Cooked bacon, eggs, toast and coffee for breakfast. I've been a lazy bum this morning but do have some errands to run.

72 degrees this morning with high predicted about 90. Been getting a random shower all along this week. Had a total 1-1/4” this week. 40 miles to lowes this morning to buy grandson a fridge for his house he’s moving into. Told him a while back we would. Will eat breakfast at Jacks on the way.
