Range Report: all work and no play
I think it’s been a month since I shot anything. My driveway turnaround and campground have taken up all of my time. This afternoon I finally dug out the Red Ryder and plinked. My first seven shots missed. Sad because I can usually hit it dozens of times in a row.
The goods news is everything is progressing on schedule and this winter I should be able to shoot everyday.

Gene getting ready for winter is important, but adding in a little shooting fun will make the rest of the work go a little easier. All batteries need a recharge sooner or later.

Oh, yeah, winter will be here soon enough. Summers are never long enough in the north country.

Does anybody remember the fable of the ant and the grasshopper? Well done ant Gene.

I’m right on schedule on completing my goals for the summer. Sometimes it’s the little things like installing outside blinds. Notice my trusty Red Ryder is nearby in case the grizzly from Pulaski’s Candy Store wanders by. I still have the second set to install.

Pretty amazing how much you have accomplished both inside and out in the short time you have been at your new place. That indoor shot is great.

Those look similar to the outside shade I have on my sliding glass door. I keep it rolled up and just use the inside drapes when temps aren't too high but it gets direct afternoon sun and when it starts getting in the mid 90's and up my AC can't quite keep up with just the inside drapes closed.

Thanks. It’s a small modest home with a million dollar view.

With no tall trees around the house I get sunshine from sunup to sunset. Great in the winter but not so much in the summer. What is nice is I can still enjoy the view while not getting the intense heat.dave77 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 27, 2022 2:20 pmThose look similar to the outside shade I have on my sliding glass door.
