Paul,
That is an understatement. The plastic ones are heftier than i thought, but in no way do they ad anything to the rifle. IMHO they are only a detractant. Apparently enough folks think the way i do, that Henry is now making this specific item set a purchase option on their website.
Stock, Forend, End cap.
a month ago you had to buy the stock from one rifle, the forend from another, and the cap all separately. I passed because i wanted to pick up the 357.
When i called back they said, we have a kit now, and it will be on the website soon, or you can jump through a couple of hoops to get it all to you.

Does the composite furniture effect the rifle performance over the wood?

If it wasnt all sweat and humidity here in va i would be able to test it out. I doubt it other than looking horrible and being slicker than snot

DsGrouse - thanks for the heads up on the wood furniture. I ordered on a Thursday and had the parts by Saturday - talk about fast service.
Fairly easy swap with a few hints from youtube. I'm ready to ditch the red dot, rail, fiber optic sights, and nylon sling for a more traditional look with a front brass bead sight, rear buckhorn or peep sight, and a nice leather sling. Might even shave down the barrel thread and get rid of the thread protector since I have no plans to hang a suppressor off the end. Now my H012X looks as good as it shoots!

All i can say is try it with a can. recoil is 30% less. and sound is at least 50% less. It makes shooting a crazy amount of fun.

Is any fitting necessary, or is it just unscrew plastic parts, screw on wood parts?
