Adding an All Weather .44mag?
Adding an All Weather .44mag?
Hi,
Well, I'm already thinking of getting another Henry. I currently have the BB .357 Color cased with 16" barrel. I am not currently planning on doing any hunting for now, but may in the future I live in NY. This would be another range, home defense rifle. I love the fact that it can hold 10+1 of .44 mag and I've always loved the look and durability of hard chromed guns (1911s specifically). I won't be shooting in the rain anytime soon.
I just found out the same FFL dealer I went to has one in stock for MSRP, but I can probably talk him down a bit since I just bought the .357. Anyone out there own this Henry. How is the finish on this rifle. Is the action the same or slightly slicker?
Thanks

That would be a nice addition. Action ought to be the same. Can't really comment on the finish; it looks durable. A fine rifle, I'm sure.

I was torn between the new BBX and the All Weather. If the AW came with a factory threaded barrel it is what i would own.
It should be a fantastic gun.

I had an AW 45-70. Really liked the looks of it but 45-70 just isnt what I want to shoot much anymore.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

I have the AW 45LC, fit to finish is perfect, cycles flawlessly and very accurate. You'll be happy with the AW 44 mag. Just my 2 cents.

I can understand that. Aren't 45-70 cartridges close to $3/round these days?

I havent looked lately but I reloaded my own and didnt buy much factory. Reloading is the way to go for the bigger centerfire ammo.

I too am shocked at ammo prices as of late. I guess that is why I started loading my own and casting my own bullets in the 1969.
