64 on its way to 84 under a beautiful blue sky in central NC .... thunderstorms possible later this afternoon .... a regular breakfast has come and gone .... Folgers still on active duty .... calm day on tap

Get well wishes to BigAl, Carol (coop), Coop’s grandson and all others who are feeling poorly right now,

34 overnight with a light rain as expected. High today is supposed to be 51 with maybe some thunderstorms later this afternoon.

Our poor pup got bit or somehow came in contact with something that is not agreeing with him. Yesterday we were running around (with him) over in Idaho and his face swelled up to the point he could hardly see out of his eyes and his snout was nearly twice the diameter as normal. We stopped at a Wallys and picked up some Benadryl for him. Last night the swelling went down but he’s itching like crazy. At 3:00 am this morning we had him in the shower (walk in with a handheld fortunately) and he seems to be doing better. This morning he is still itching but not nearly as much as last night. Why do dogs always have their issues on Friday afternoon right before the vet closes for the weekend?

I wish I would have thought to take a picture of him with his swollen snout, he looked so pitiful it was almost funny.

Mine always wait till we are out of town then you have the challenge of finding a vet

Yes that’s another consideration. We were leaving for Salt Lake City this coming Thursday but between concern for the dog and the price of gas we decided to cancel our trip. Mostly the cost of gas and the fact we didn’t get the chance to acclimate the pup to the trailer like we wanted. Figured a long mostly driving four night 1500 mile trip is not a good introduction to RV life. We were planning on seeing the Greg Gutfield show in SLC. Gutfield is a political humorist on Fox News who we really enjoy. We’ll just have to eat the price of the tickers.

Today it was 41 when I got up and is supposed to be sunny and warmer today with maybe thunderstorms late afternoon. Yesterday’s Thunderbird show at the base was canceled due to the low ceiling and possible thunderstorms in the area. Feel bad for the folks who suffered the cold drizzly weather to go to the show. Today is supposed to be better weather for the event.

Me, I’m going over to my son’s place to finish cutting up his big pile of logs. Next comes the splitting and stacking. Ugh.

I had to go for prescriptions so I stopped at Mickey Ds and got the big breakfast.
Scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns and coffee. It came with a buttered roll with strawberry
jelly. I brought it home and ate it here.

It wasn't too bad for someone in a hurry.

When I was having to go back and forth to Harborview I usually took the train when I was not able to drive. Very comfortable trip, unfortunately it was mostly during late Winter and early Spring and since the train left Wenatchee at 5AM and left Edmonds at 5PM. it was usually dark on my side of the mountains so couldn't see much. One time the train was very late getting to Wenatchee so I was able to see a lot of scenery you don't see driving.

I see where Wisconsin to Seattle is a 42 hour trip so you will be seeing a lot of nice scenery.

Carol is up and around a bit, although she's still pretty sick. I think the medicine is working.
I must say that it gets lonely with Covid in the home. No one, and I mean not one is visiting.

Al, have you been to a doctor? It sounds like Covid to me and they have some new drugs that work pretty well.
You've been sick for quite a while now. You hear and read a lot of stuff, but I still trust my Doc pretty much.

we are once again blessed with a beautiful morning in our area .... 67 on its way to 86 with a strong chance for a PM thunderstorm .... around 10 this morning we plan to drive to our local Verizon store .... we make it a point to go in and check to see how the plan we have stacks up to what they currently offer .... Maureen is unhappy with her Iphone 7, its starting to have weird events .... we will probably replace it .... breakfast has been moved to the recent past but Folgers flowing through a Henry mug is still very much in the present

44 and overcast with a forecast of 55 and partly sunny. Hope so, I could use some sun today.

Planning on unloading my tractor that I used at my son’s place for log moving and giving it a power wash. Then I’m packing up the trailer and putting it away for a few weeks since we canceled the SLC trip. At least the trailer is all ready for the next adventure. Some sunshine will be nice for both these projects.

I just heard a big commotion down by the lake so I went out to see what it was.
A pair of swans were evidently disturbing our resident Canada Geese and things were getting heated.
As I watched the swans flew away making quite a racket. It's like a zoo out there.

Double 81's this morning. 81° with 81% humidity. It's going to be another hot day today. Cooked eggs, bacon, toast and coffee this morning. Going to get some repair work out the door.

No Doc here Coop. I managed yard work and some other things yesterday but it took a lot of effort. I even layed down on the patio couch for a spell. Probably is covid but dont care. Im not congested to the point that I can’t breathe and I have been taking Vitamin C and that mucinex. I feel better today can’t give a determination of how much yet because I have not had any coffee yet

Well, do be careful. Carol's best friend lost her husband a few months ago now. He thought it was just a cold and didn't get help until it was too late. He was scheduled for an infusion but passed away two hours before the time. He was working right up until two days prior to that.
I lost my cousin Stan Spar about that same time. He was only sick for a few days.
This stuff is scary.

37 this morning but we’re looking at a nice day in the 60’s with sunshine. Tomorrow brings more rain and wind with a cool down lasting into the weekend. No rain after tomorrow but cool temps are returning.

I’ve tried to talk my wife into taking a train trip but she’s convinced that the train we will ride on is the one that will derail. Can’t get her to the ocean because she’s sure a tsunami will hit while we’re there. She will fly and is getting better at it but doesn’t like it much. No problem bombing down the highway at 65 mph riding in a 16,000 lb truck and trailer….crazy.

73° earlier this morning. It's 80 right now and headed towards the mid 90's again today. We missed tying a record high by one degree yesterday. We also need some rain. It's getting really dry. Just had cereal and coffee this morning.
