Update: Went to the doctor Monday, to check on the wound. He's not worried about it, says everything looks healthy. He wants me to keep my wound care up for another month. In that time if it hasn't closed, we are talking plastic surgery.
He also wants me walking again. So here I go learning to walk again....

@Ernie: No, the boot did alot of damage to my incision after less then 2 weeks of wear.
After talking to my physical therapist she thinks it's a good idea for me to walk. She explained it's a matter of getting circulation going to help close it. She also said getting on my bike would be perfect too. So that's what I did, and will continue to do for the next month.

Remember what WE talked about. Don't get in a hurry. You'll have much better results. Best of luck my friend. Make the kids fetch and retrieve, geez... That's why we have them. I was a TV remote until someone invented one. :P

Has he referred you to a wound specialist? Years ago I had a wound on my back that was not healing and they helped it quite a bit with special dressings, had to go in a couple times a week. No plastic surgery was required but I do have a heck of a scar.

Not yet, follow up in a month. Until then, clean daily and do a wet/dry wrap.

I dodged plastic surgery! I do a bit of a different technique on my leg, for a couple of weeks and see how that works. I go back on 7-11 to check on the wound. At this point PT is optional, I'm on the fence with that one.
Then the doctor told me if it wasn't for that wound, I would have said have a great rest of your life. That was supposed to be my last visit, blarrrggg!

Stay positive and heal up. Better days ahead, although that 3-legged sack race at the county fair might be out until next year.

I went to the doctor this week, we are both frustrated with this slow healing wound. However he says it gets better everytime he sees it.
Now my next appointment isn't until November, that's a good sign!
