Warm weather at last! As I write this the sun is breaking out.
Folgers with Honey Nut Cheerios and a banana. I needed a break for cookies.
The storms last night went north and south of us. We didn't even get any rain.
Yard work today I guess. I got the big zero turn out yesterday and it's ready to go.
It's supposed to be near 90 tomorrow.
My Grandson texted that he isn't feeling much better yet. I'm still worried.

29 with frost heading to 57 with sun! Beautiful morning and we are expecting sun for the next three days then a return to rain. Next week we may see some mid 60’s.

Today I’m pulling the travel trailer out and prepping it for summer. We’re heading to Salt Lake City next week for the first trip of the year. This week we will introduce the pup to the trailer and will spend a couple of nights in it right out in the driveway. Could be interesting

Dogs love RVs. Our old Black Lab would lay under the step all day if I parked it in the yard to make sure we didn't leave
her behind.

Well, as Jim Neighbors would say, "Surprise, surprise"!
Over the years we've had at least two hit our woods but skip over the house. Just a lot of tangled trees
and one damaged sail boat down by the lake. I've been told that if you don't have a basement take shelter
in the bath tub.

As a young man I worked for the US Weather Bureau for a short time. Just enough time to get licensed
with them, anyway I learned to love to watch weather and try to analyze it. Then another agency
offered me a lot more money, so I left.

The nest couple of days just might give you a good example of Spring in Tornado Alley.

another cool but beautiful 54 degree morning in Central NC .... a huge low pressure system just off of our coast is causing problems .... high, rough surf has already dumped two beach front houses into the ocean and more could easily follow .... it is supposed to get into the low to mid 70's this afternoon .... first up today is going to vote in NC's primary .... I plan to thoroughly clean our new Davy Crockett smoker later on and to get my wife in contact with its customer service folks .... she needs to spend some time with them to learn how to control it with her Iphone

Rain is falling lightly. Thunderstorms are expected this afternoon and tomorrow.
It's supposed to hover around 90 degrees today and tomorrow with high humidity.
I managed to get the entire yard raked yesterday and fertilized the flowers.
I have grass seed to sow yet today.
Then I'll work in the shop.

Woke up to 27 and beautiful sunshine with the high looking to be in the mid 50’s.

I flushed the RV antifreeze out of the travel trailer yesterday and filled and bleached the fresh water tank. Filled the water heater and flushed all the waterlines to the faucets. Knowing that we expected a freeze last night I turned on the furnace and set the thermostat to 41, the lowest setting. Went out first thing this morning to check the water system for freeze and I’m happy to report all is good. The inside temp was 41 so the furnace must have run a bit overnight.

Today I’ll continue to prep the trailer and we’ll spend the night in it tonight with our pup. Could be interesting

I’ll take my chances with tornadoes over what I left in Seattle. It’s sure windy right now. Hot too. Especially on the tractor when the wind blows the engine heat bad.

Got up early. Showered, shaved, and got dogs walked. Made a quick breakfast of bacon, eggs, toast and coffee and then out the door to get my eye injections. The doctor used a new product this time to see if it can give me more time between injections. I'm going every five weeks now and he wants to try and stretch it out. I was on Lucentis, but he injected Elyea today. We'll see if it works as good or better.

It might hit 80 F today. Not a cloud in the sky. It's been 70+ all week so far. A good time to get the planting done.

I've been working on changing implements on the cub. The sickle bar mower is off and the plow was mounted. A stuck bolt held things up for a while until the reciprocating saw came out. I had a few moments of plowing last night. Hopefully more today.

Temps in the 50's lately, and grass growing like crazy with that rain/snow we had on the weekend. Hoping for good hay this year, but we'll see.
