It is going on Noon here North of DFW and I had to dig out a thermal shirt to mow the lawn since it is just 53 degrees outside The nice part is one more day of open windows!

I was in Mooselake one July 4th waiting until nearly midnight for the fireworks show over the lake! I was wearing a jacket, gloves a hat and jeans!

It made it to 63 here this afternoon! But it will be 90 on Friday and nearly 100 on Sunday....

wife was up at 6, i made coffee and one cup down i am starting to have a brain cell firing.

Morning, 55 now and headed towards 75.
Got the lawn mowed after work yesterday, suppose to be rainy the next couple of days.
Next time I should call these guys.

39 heading to the upper 60’s, imagine that! Finally a spring day but wait, there’s more. After today it’s back to our arctic spring with lows touching freezing and highs around 50 with some rain coming in.

Spokane didn’t set an all time cold April, only 7th on the list. But where Dave77 lives they did set an all time cold April.

So today since it’s going to be warm we are heading out for the maiden voyage on our new boat. It’s been sitting inside for over a week looking forlorn and wanting to get some exercise. We’re taking the pup along for his first boating experience, could be a rodeo.

up and at'um at a different pace this morning ... our 6 year old grandson's coach pitch baseball team had a game last night that didn't start until 8PM .... it was pushing 10PM last night before we got him home, fed, bathed and in bed .... we brought him with us because his mother has to leave for work very early and with us he was able to get something over 2 hours additional sleep .... he was happy and still chattering about last night's game while he was eating breakfast this morning .... he's now at school and we are back home going about our normal morning routine .... its another beautiful morning in central NC .... 69 degrees on its way to 85 .... really nice now, waves of thunderstorms are supposed to roll in from 6PM on .... only thing on our schedule for today is picking him up after school at around 3PM

Spokane didn’t set an all time cold April, only 7th on the list. But where Dave77 lives they did set an all time cold April.

We also set the record for most 1 day snowfall of 23 inches and completely blew away the April total snowfall record, was a ½ inch now it's 13 inches.

Finally warming up, was low 70's yesterday, supposed to be around 70 today and then rainy and cooler the rest of the week. Anything's better than the early and long heat wave we had last year, 100 degree highs in June, new high record temp of 113 and I think we were in the high 90's and 100's all of July and most of August.

I know our cherry growers are hoping for a more normal summer. Talked to the orchard manager up the road and he said they left at least 18,000 lbs of prime Rainier cherries hanging on the trees. When they were picking I would hear the pickers going up the road at 3AM and they would have to quit by 10AM most days.

My Mom passed yesterday. She would have been 85 in 2 weeks. Best Mom ever. I'm currently in Phoenix on my way to Eureka, Ca. Not sure how long I will be out there. My brother and I will figure it all out. It's just hard right now.
I did make it to the range before I found out. 90 rds out of the Ak47 pistol after some mods, and it works great, and pretty accurate at 50 yds.

Pouring rain down. More than we really need just now. But , that's better than a drought! Like those folks are enduring out to the west!!! I've been there and done that... I need a haircut so this morning I will travel to town to get one for Mother's Day.
On Mother's Day we always host a large group of neighbors and relatives and go across the
lake to a Retreat Center where they have a very nice Mother's Day Banquet.
It's a tradition.
I lost my Mom a long time ago and so did Carol. Time passes and now we're the elders.
Nothing is easy.

54° and rain in Eureka CA. Got in yesterday, and this morning my Brother and I are going to the funeral home. It's strange being home without Mom scurrying around trying to make sure everyone is comfortable. Lots to do here. Not sure if I'll be here a week or months. It's a big house with 50 or so years of accumulation of life. Thanks for everyone's support. Means a lot.
