Ammo supply good in your ‘hood?
Re: Ammo supply good in your ‘hood?
I was in a Sportsman’s Warehouse yesterday and they had a selection of powder. I was surprised to see prices around $30 - $40 per pound. Nothing I needed so I didn’t buy any.

Saw your post on this. Called a buddy who lives close to our So-Cal Sportsmans, he's heading over to pick me up a 1lb bottle of "Universal"
$37. Hot dog!! I believe I'm good on powders now for a looong time. Thanks for the heads up Hatch!

Well I went by WW after work for adult beverages, oil and filter for the Blazer.
So as usual I meandered by the ammo case.
HOLY COW, 30-30 ammo on the shelf, 2 boxes of 150gr. core locs and 1 box of 170gr. Federal.
22 galore also.

Mark, I thought about it, but passed as I load my own.
I should have grabbed the Federal just to see how they compare.
I might go back by this afternoon, they also had 2 boxes of those 12ga. shotshells.

Wouldn't hurt to have some more of those shorties on hand.

Re: Ammo supply good in your ‘hood?
Plenty of ammo at one of my LGS's this morning. Cheapest 9mm was $20 for 50. Still have enough stockpiled so didn't buy any. Was hoping to see the price get down at least to $15 but that seems to be less and less likely.
Re: Ammo supply good in your ‘hood?
With the price of diesel fuel at an all time high I doubt any of this will come down for some time.

Re: Ammo supply good in your ‘hood?
Off the ammo topic but it smacks the inflation topic right in the kisser. We went to the grocery store earlier this week and spent $500.
We did let our supplies go down further than normal but this is insane.

Re: Ammo supply good in your ‘hood?
The world and local economy can be compared to the human body in that it has lots of parts that do specific things and each is essential for the benefit of the whole body. And, if you break your leg or an arm, you're not likely to perform as well as before.
So, if there's a world-wide pandemic that shuts down entire countries with whom we depend to supply a big bunch of important stuff... oops. Broken leg.
And if a war breaks out in Europe and the response is global economic sanctions against the aggressor... oops. Oil and gas, wheat and other commodity prices go through the roof. Another broken leg.
And if extreme weather causes billions of dollars of property damage in burned, flooded, or storm ravaged communities... oops. Building supplies are hard to come by and expensive. A broken arm.
And, if the avian flu kills millions of chickens around the world and here. Oops. The price of eggs and wings go out of sight. Another broken arm.
Ouch. I hurt. And I'm not even counting my broken fingers or toes.
