Storms last night in area but don't think anything blew away... will see after dawn gets here. At least I'm still here and not in Oz so a decent start to the day. Today is my sons 35th birthday. I think I will give him a rifle I never use, a paddle stock ruger 77 in .270 that I bought off a guy cheap years ago. Nice rifle, I just never use it...

60° going to 73° with rain and high winds this afternoon.
1st cup of coffee is doing its job. Breakfast of waffles and sausage today. Cheers

we awoke to a beautiful 67 morning, its supposed to get up to 82 later this afternoon (the record high here for today is 84) .... first up this morning it to take a grandson's paperwork and a check to get him signed up for summer baseball .... on the same outing we need to take our Trailblazer in for its annual safety inspection .... once I get back home, packing our camper will continue

27F and snowing. So far an inch of new snow. Folgers in my Henry cup.

31 with a high overcast but the forecast is for the mid 40’s with sunshine. If so I’ll get outside and work on cleanup since I “lost” the entire day yesterday to other tasks. Big cool down coming in this week with highs in the 20’s and lows in the teens. Then back up to more normal temps by the weekend.

Still have snow clinging on in some areas and I wish it would just go away.

It's 35F and pouring rain. I was at camp all weekend, moving from one to another. It got to 60F and rained in the morning there yesterday. The ice was slick. After the rain, it wasn't bad at all. On the drive home, it got warmer and as I got home just before dark, it was 73 and blue skies. As I got near home, the sunroof was opened, the drivers window went down, the rear sliding window was opened and the stereo was turned up. It was the first beautiful cruise of the year.

Coffee this morning is in the John Deere mug. Appropriate as I brought home the John Deere self propelled mower from the old camp. It will join the John Deere garden tractor here for lawn duty. It got a long rest at camp as my neighbor cut our lawn. This mower hardly got used. It still starts first pull thanks to the primer bulb on the engine and non-ethanol gas.
Not much on the plate today. I got an early phone call from the gentleman who was making my snowshoes and canoe seat. They are ready and now paid for since receiving the invoice in the email. They will be shown here upon receipt. One of the bonuses from camp were my pair of wooden shoe shoes that were hanging on the wall. Still well cared for, the rawhide and wood will again be meeting the snow after about a 30 year absence. The new shoes are bearpaws and these older ones are more of a cross country style. The canoe seat will be really neat.

It's tuesday... sounds like a typical March week of weather... two warm days then two cold days with snow.

Then warming back up ... a lurching roller coaster ride, or perhaps similar to my little ancient diesel tractor starting on a cold morning... sputtering and sputtering and almost hitting.... and then sputtering and then almost hitting... then back to sputtering... something of a tease really..... oh well... life be full of ups and downs.....ya just go on anyway is how it works out.... coffee up and see about the day folks...

41° going to 60° overcast and rain is coming later. We had a pretty big wind roll through all day yesterday. Looks like I'll be picking up pine cones and branches today. Cheers!

34 heading to 38 with overcast skies. Today’s not going to be a sunny day but that changes tomorrow. Big cool down coming in but at least we should see some sunny skies. Taking the pup to the vet today for his neuter. Vet want’s to wait until he is one year old (he’s 8 months) but he’s getting too aggressive with his play and is starting to have relations with everything in sight. Poor guy.

Were supposed to get a few days of lows in the 20s and highs in the low 40s. Supposed to warm back up some by the weekend but be rainy which is OK. I'm ready for Spring but not a very dry and very warm one like we had last year.

My Leia goat must be in heat. Buster, her new companion is neutered but he is still trying. Funny, her late brother was neutered but I don't recall ever seeing him try to mount her.

Early morning thunderstorm rolled through and temps dropped along with it. It was 53° this morning walking dogs and now it's 46°. Running the furnace today after having the air conditioner on Sunday and Monday. That's the way it goes here in SE Texas. I cooked sausage, flapjacks and coffee this morning for breakfast.
