31 on its way to 68 later today under a beautiful Carolina Blue sky .... breakfast is long gone but Folgers is hanging round .... we are collecting estimates to replace our garage doors and have an appointment this afternoon with one company for an estimate .... also have an appointment to donate blood .... that's pretty much it for today

23 heading to 38 or so. Woke up to a heavy fog but it’s starting to dissipate so hopefully we’ll see some sun today. Looking at a nice weekend with some rain/snow coming in on Monday.

Making a trip to Costco this morning and this afternoon we’re seeing the vet to discuss neutering our pup. Vets today want to wait until 1 1/2 years old to neuter. He’s starting to show signs of male behavior and we’re not inclined to wait. The vet will try to talk us out of it

A warm 43 and foggy so not building a fire this morning, coffee is brewing... The neighbors dogs are barking so Buster had to go out to investigate and bark also, cleaning firearms from yesterdays range session..

Been very mild last couple of weeks. Snow going fast. Looks like next week too. It was 52 yesterday here. Our son gets married tomorrow so we’ll be in Calgary for that. Then out for supper with them. Sunday will burn some black powder at the range.

The closet light project hit a snag. One of the lights had a bad sensor. I tried the Amazon chat and the next day a new set arrived with them trusting me to send the others back. The new set worked fine. I had ordered two different kinds of light. Both are ok for the closets. One will get ordered again for under cabinet duty in a dead spot in the kitchen. Today is just refine the vegan chili for tonight's dinner and hang some Command strip items.

20º and couple inches of new snow. Rained yesterday so driveway muddy. Snow blowing could be tricky. Don't want to move any more of the driveway into the yard. Second (last) radial arm saw is supposed to go away today finally. More room in the shop Put out the word that I am looking for a used Mill to fill up the hole from the saw. May try the newly reconditioned lathe to make a locating pin for the jointer fence then on to the workbench rebuilding project.

I'm going to my favorite gun shop today to take the class to renew my concealed carry permit.
This place has several thousand guns on display. We'll see if I can contain myself.

In the past year we moved from Roan mountain to Piney Flats TN, I broke 2 ribs, and then fell off a ladder and broke by back L1& L2, then the covid for us both. In the mean time I've been stocking up supplies, and ammo. I went to the range for the 1st time in over a year, and I must say I'm way out of practice. Found a new USFS Range in the mountains and it's pretty nice. Getting back into the swing of things.
39° and overcast this morning. Drinking the usual dark roast, and waiting to see what the cooks got going.
Watch yer hair, and keep the powder dry.

Coop, I just re-newed my CCW permit here. We are not required to take a class again, fill out the form, pay your fee and then wait for an email or text from the Sheriff.
Too bad they make you go through that again.

Glad you're back Tom....was wondering what happened. So sorry for what you've been through.

I sure miss my own private range. Oh well. The range I go to now is 30 miles away. It's a place called Jacob's Creek, and it's right behind South Holston lake about 15 miles outside of Bristol TN.

16 when I got up heading to 43 with a beautiful blue sky filled with sunshine. Pups out in his newly fenced backyard playing in the snow. I have the wood stove burning and it gets too warm in the house for him. Usually he goes into the walk in shower in the master bath and lies on the cool tile. But now he lays in the snow. Dogs!
