24 with some heavy frost on the ole Halloween pumpkin. We’re looking at the upper 40’s and sunshine today so I’ll probably go out and pick up the “hopefully) last of the pine needles this morning.

We had the first fire in the stove of the season this morning and we wondered how the new pup would react to it. Other than his interest in my lighting the fire he was mostly uninterested in the fire itself. We put this screen in front of it to keep him away. It has a gate in it for access, it’s a little confining but worth it for his safety.

Fair 43°F 6°C
Humidity 61%
Wind Speed W 9 mph
Barometer 30.13 in
Folgers and cookies before church. The barometer is finally rising. A good sign.
Man, I was sleeping really hard when the alarm went off at 6:30.
After church went out for brunch. American Skillet with toast and coffee. Really quite good.
I have some time now to relax and then NASCAR starts up at 2. I can't watch the end but if I
wear my hearing aids I can listen during the meeting. The World Series game 5 tonight. Two pretty evenly
matched teams for a change.
Oh yeah, I have a 4 O'clock meeting at the legion to sign the contract with the folks who will build our
new post. Last one for a while I hope.

48° this morning but rapidly heating up to 81° right now just after lunch. Cooked bacon, eggs, toast and coffee for breakfast. Went to the range with the 788 to get a new scope dialed in. I got one dead center and stopped (100 yards). Also got into it with a pig headed SOB at the range. The range was very busy this morning with opening of deer season next weekend. A lot of hunters trying to do last minute sighting in. This guy grumbled about not having a spotting scope. The range officer tried to tell him that they were out as some of them were being repaired. He wouldn't let it go trying to berate the officer. I finally had enough and called him a jackass and just leave. A few more words were shared before he shut his mouth. I felt sorry for his kid.

I picked Cleveland on my pool sheet and they let me down too. Lots of crazy games this weekend between college and the pros. Probably my worst week on the pool in many years…….

28 heading to a nice sunny 53 which just screams, “get outside and get-r-done”. So I will. :D

It was 58° this morning walking dogs about 6:30 a.m. Right now 66° and warming up nicely. Going to see my surgical oncologist for the first time later today. I'll be taking good notes. Just had cereal and coffee this morning.

40 going to 50 today.
Got a breakfast blend for the Keurig. It's not bad. Good thing, I got a case of a 100, lol.
Funny thing about Amazon. I ordered the case of coffee and two display cases for my diecast car collection. They all would ship for free. I am not an Amazon Prime member, my better half is. I don't care when things that I order get here. Most things go under her prime membership and we access the Prime TV app for movies and shows. Well, my order updated that it would arrive the next day. Sure enough, it arrived around 24 hours after I ordered it. Free overnight shipping. I guess I must live within range of one of the mega warehouses recently built and what I ordered was in stock.

I hope all goes well today Jake!

My only plan is to put some cars in a display case and drink some coffee. I hope you all enjoy your day.
