Folgers and cookies this morning.
Beautiful day yesterday and another one coming today. Low 80s.
Going to the range this morning and then work on the motorhome this afternoon.
Getting a lot of black walnuts right now. That one tree is really producing.

46 with a big climb all the way to 56 pending. A very nice rain overnight with periods of heavy rain that woke my up. Hooray! Still a light rain falling which is supposed to continue until mid day. Probably 3/4 inch which is greatly appreciated. Starting tomorrow we are forecast to have some nice fall weather with temps in the 70’s and partly cloudy.
Today I’ll probably start doing oil changes in my off road stuff, mowers, tractor, ATV’s etc. Fortunately I have a dry place I can do this work.

55 here right now headed to 82. Just got back Sunday from down southern Colorado way with the 5th wheel. Yesterday I washed it and did the winterization to it while it was 90 degrees outside. Seems kinda strange to be doing winterization when its that hot but Oct 1 is only a few days away. Today a bike ride right after I have a bowl of oatmeal with walnuts and raspberries in it. Some of those back walnuts would be good Coop.

Still collecting them and then they have to be shucked and dried. Takes some time.
I think you can buy them online though.

Folgers and cookies.
Supposed to get into the mid 80s today. Good day to go to the range for some
trap and skeet. Then it's Wednesday so we probably will go for wings and beer.
Took my antique Marlin 1892 in .32 Long Colt to the range yesterday morning with
some reloads and let some friends shoot it. They had expressed a curiosity about
it. One of them runs a recycling location for the county and he had received a box
of 32 LC which was complete, and manufactured prior to 1910. He said I could have
them if he could shoot the rifle. Wish granted, but not with the old bullets.
They are very collectable.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
The Fall season getting up to speed around here. Low 70's and fair sky thru rest of week. And speaking of walnuts the rear part of my backyard is filling up due to the neighbor's trees. He has two big trash cans he rolls around picking them up as he moves around.
Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
46 looking at 70 later with some nice sun breaks. Should be a beautiful late Sept day.
Today we are planning on doing some running around and later we will be planning the layout for a backyard fence. I didn’t want to fence this place but this new puppy is going to need some containment. So we’re thinking a split rail fence with mesh which should stay in keeping with the look of our place. Hate to spend the money but the pup keeps running off the grass areas and into the trees. Lots of deer and turkey poop there which is just too tempting for him. Should keep the turkeys off the lawn too. Got a guy coming over tomorrow to give us a quote and two more next week. Probably won’t get an install until spring due to the high demand around here. Lots of new building going on.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Right now 75° under partly cloudy skies. Had a good rain early this morning.....about 2". Rest of the day supposed to be okay. More rain in the forecast each day through to next Monday. The shooting range will be very muddy so I'll probably shoot pistol Friday. Just had cereal and coffee this morning.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Coffee hits the spot. I'm hoping the weatherman is correct and we get three days of rain. It would really help the fall pastures. Just quiet stuff planned over next few days, dig sweet potatoes, mow my yard, go to sisters for her birthday in a few days, I might actually try fall turkey hunting in October. Have went in the spring for years but never went in the fall cause didn't want to do anything that might mess up the bucks I was bow hunting, but oh well, too bad for them, they can work around me or blow out of the country... I ain't skeered... i find i don't really care... wah ha ha..... it will work out how it's supposed to....I will do as I please while I can....

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
40 heading to the upper 60’s with partly cloud skies. Then some overnight light rain maybe .10 or so. But, added to the over 1.0 inch we received a few days ago our drought conditions are really looking up. After that we expect several nice fall days. Might have to start raking pine needles since tonight’s forecast includes 25 mph gusts of wind. Still lots of needles in the trees so that should bring em’ down.
I have a guy coming over this morning to give us a quote on a back yard fence. Later this afternoon the new pup goes to the vet for the next round of shots. In between just more chores around the place.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
Rainy day today. 79° with thunder off in the distance. It rained earlier this morning. We have an 80% chance of rain so no gun range today, maybe tomorrow. Just cereal and coffee this morning.

After a nice rain overnight we are sitting at 51 and looking at a high of 66. A nice weekend ahead continuing into next week with sun and temps in the 70’s. A nice start to October.
Nothing on the calendar today so I should be able to make a dent in my fall project list.
