Dedicated BP store!

Post by Kissmybrass » Mon Aug 09, 2021 1:30 pm

My friend was out to lunch and found this! It's 40 minutes away from me near Puyallup, WA.
She asked if I shopped here. I said soon, real soon lol
I don't know anything about muzzleloading but thought about it. Love the older rifles!

If you like the older rifles you would love muzzleloading. I bet the boy would love it also. Need to get the young people involved or exposed to it to carry it one. You can buy rifles without an FFL. I might warn you though its really addicting and it could become a serious habit. Just ask RR he is all in hook line and sinker. If you need any help or have questions ask away I bet we can confuse you with the best of them.

That is unusual, I don’t recall seeing one like that. Are you aware of Dixie Gun Works? they have been around forever and have a wonderful catalog, the online one is kinda hard to navigate, but the paper one, which is huge, makes for great browsing.

The attraction for me is the history of course but also the slower pace. It is very relaxing and very much addictive.

Yeah maybe next Spring I'll look into a kit or an assembled one. 1874 Sharps 45-70 is coming before the BP :-) Love the Sharps and Spencer rifles!

The place is like a museum, more BP stuff in one place than I've seen in a half a dozen other places put together.
About 75 miles due north, been there a few times. Great people.

You should check out that little muzzleloading shop near you. You know, just looking. What’s the worst that can happen? A little look never hurt anybody. Maybe check the balance of some of those long rifles. You’d be doing the owner a favor. He doesn’t want to stock unbalanced rifles.

I have one of those 1874 Sharps alone in the safe. Hasnt been shot in a number of years. 45-100. It will speak loud and clear to you when you pull that front trigger.

Yup here is some for ya. 45-100 and the other round is a 45-70. Shiloh Sharps built by the current owners the Bryan Family. I have had it for 20 plus years. Long Range Express with MVA Buffalo Soule Tang sight and MVA windage adjustable front sight. Great gun and was a great shooter.

Pretty interesting difference between the 70 and the 100 case. Looks like fun and man that’s a beautiful rifle.

Do you recall what level of Walnut that is? I've been looking at their site and they have four levels and different pricing.
Love the heavy barrel on that Sharps, that's gotta help the recoil a bit :-)
Back to Black Powder I'm going to be in that area Monday so I'm stopping in to say hi. (leaving my wallet at home lol)
