57, fair, light winds. Going for a high in the low 80s.
Folgers and guess what? Cookies!
This time Oreos new Salted Caramel and Brownie cookies. Good stuff!
I finished buffing out the finish on the Journey yesterday, today I need to
wash the residue off and apply some was. Just in time as we leave tomorrow
for the Blue Grass Festival.

79° and cloudy. A high of 92° and 40% chance of rain. We got a nice shower last night. Cereal, strawberries, and coffee for breakfast.

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
On a more serious note, the drought in the Midwest and west is devastating.
It looks like the corn crop is lost and the soy beans aren't looking much better.
Farmers and ranchers are selling their breeding stock due to lack of forage.
Canada has over 500 forest fires raging and only half are anywhere near contained.
Our western states are on fire as well. We live in a world of smoke right now.
I've been on this earth for a long time but this is as bad as I've ever seen.
As you drink your morning coffee, say a prayer for rain please.

Woke up to a warm 70 and we’re looking at the mid 90’s today. Still very smoky but not as bad as yesterday. Air quality is still in the triple digits but way down from the last several days.
The fireball coming up, picture doesn’t capture the intensity of the red. Second pic shows how the smoke is picking up the sun’s rays. Already the blue sky is gone and the red sun is back as more smoke has blown in since I took that pic 20 minutes ago.

beautiful morning with no sign of smoke from western wildfires where we are camped in east-central South Dakota .... 67 on its way to 84 with a 51% chance of rain this afternoon .... sure hope we get all 51% and then some .... not much on tap for for today, no plans to so much as crank the truck today .... watching the Audie Murphy western "Gunpoint" that was filmed back in 1966

Re: Our Morning Coffee and Weather
83° and mostly cloudy this morning. I've got my annual Urologist's appointment. Not looking forward to the "digital exam" but as all goes at least it's just once a year. Eggs, bacon, toast, and coffee this morning. I'll need to start drinking water so I can pee in the cup later.
