Rained overnight. Not sure how much we got but enough to turn off the sprinklers for today. 64 right now and only 75 for the high today. That will be a nice break.

Finally a break in the hot and humid and for next week too! Beautiful for today but good bit of rain most of day for Sunday.
Headed to the range today to check things out and a ammo test of some 45 ACP with the HiPoint Carbine.

Got rain during the night .what a wonderful start to the month of August. A blessed growing season we are having. So many are enduring drought and fire, or, on the other extreme, floods. I feel for their misery and hope things improve in those areas. An unusual year to be green and growing in august here. I appreciate it! The coffee is good and I hope the day ahead will be as well.

Coffee and toast with peanut butter. 56º now with a high predicted of 73º. Plenty of yard work to catch up on while it is tolerable. Stay safe and have a good Sunday everyone.

Another morning in So Cal and it’s reported to be 65 out there. High is supposed to be around 90. Back home it’s 75 and yesterday it got to 104……nuts

Heading back to the good ole’ north tomorrow and after a couple of hot days it’s supposed to cool down with a hint of maybe possibly some light rain. Right now we’ll take anything that resembles moisture.

Started off muggy, but the wind changed to the north. It made some of the mugginess go away. Radar is showing a band of showers coming down the Red River about an hour away. It's 86* and feels like 92*.
Today is the wife's B'Day. Tomorrow, she is going to have a heart cath done. Earlier this summer she had a bad spell working in the garden. She felt really weak and was very tired. I thought maybe she had a heat stroke and being the TYPICAL NURSE she is, she POO POOed that idea. Well she has limped along and finally went to the doc a couple weeks ago. The EKG showed that she may have had a anterior septal infarct (aka Widow Maker). So off we go to the cardiologist, he recommends heart cath.
So, if Ya'll could say a little prayer for her, I would sure appreciate it. Her name is Pat. Thank-you so much!

Actually a cool breeze outside this morning g, a good rain yesterday morning.... a wonderful couple of days in august. Very unusual. Usually, it's miserable hot, or miserable hot and dry. Coffee is good. I'm going to enjoy this nice weather before it slips away.
