Well great weather for July today so wanted to try out my light 357 Mag load of 158 gr. MB RNFP cast bullet loaded over 6.0 of Power Pistol in magnum case. This should be just a touch hotter than my .38 Special load using same bullet with 5.6 gr. Power Pistol.
So brought along my Ruger 357 Police Service Six, the Evil Roy 357 six shooter and my Henry BBS 357 rifle. Target distance for revolvers was 10 yds from standing position with one hand with the Ruger and one and two hand hold with the Evil Roy. For whatever reason my one handed hold on that was going right. The load seem to shoot well in both revolvers.
Went back to the 50 yd shooting deck and tried same load with the Henry and then followed with the famous 180 Pug load.
For some reason the Pugs wanted to gather low and left where the 158 gr. load was about where it should be with 4 shots. The red bulls eye would get covered by the Henry front bead at that distance so I aimed a touch low to see just a touch of Red above the bead.
The 158 load with the 6 gr, of Power Pistol was very nice to shoot in both revolver and rifle. Will try it again too!
Guess who just had a birthday? We did. Henry Rifle Forums has made it to the 10 year mark. Thank you to all members, I'm glad you are here!

Nice going Forty. That pug load looks to be a winner for sure. I like that pug bullet when she contacts steel there is some serious movement in the buffaler target

Oh yeah the pug will put the hurt on the steel and the 158 gr. plinker easier on the target hardware!
I like how that little Ruger shoots in my hand!
