Cooler today only 81 for the high but next week its going to be 100. Not even summer yet. Wifes son bought a class A motorhome and is checking it out in a state park in Denver we are going down to see him today.

Morning, 73 at the moment, and headed to 91.
Doing a little work on the house, and hoping the yard dries out enough to mow this afternoon.
No rain yesterday, and not much of a chance today. So I'll see.

48 and overcast here in Dillon MT but I see some breaks in the clouds so I’m optimistic for a nice day. Yesterday we visited Virginia and Nevada cities which have some really nice displays of life in the 1870’s out west in mining camps. Being a Friday in June before school lets out it wasn’t too crowded. A lady in a shop told us they get 1 million visitors between Memorial and Labor days. Glad we missed out on that. Today we’re heading to Bannack State Park where there is a well preserved ghost town. I gotta say, if you decide to do this kind of a trip we’re getting a bit overloaded with ghost towns. Better to keep it to 2-3 days instead of a full week like we did. Sunday we’re taking a break and doing a scenic drive of the Pioneer Mountains and then on Monday it’s just a long drive home.

Wonder what my lawn will look like after 10 days without being mowed.

83° headed to 95° or so. Humidity is sitting at 82% so anything done outdoors will feel steamy. Made bacon, flapjacks, and coffee for breakfast. Made enough bacon to treat the dogs so that made them very happy! Will go to the range today for sure as yesterday's plans to go went awry. Going to take the 788 for a second trip as well as my 25-06.

74 this morning with very low humidity. Finally some relief from the 90s and humidity.
Bright sun and clear blue sky.
Folgers and a strawberry pop tart.
I covered my plants last night with plastic buckets so the coon didn't bother them,
however something tore down my heavy duty bird feeder and carried the body of
it half way down the hill to the lake. Now it was hung up high and the only thing
that could get to it was the squirrels, until now anyway.
The last time this happened it was a black bear, but he was shot by the DNR for
getting to familiar and frequenting peoples decks.

90 here today with blazing sun Mowing the yard and fixing the Bonneville its a little sick on a couple cylinders. Looks like one of the coils has decided to retire.

Hot today.. move cows to new pasture at daybreak and that's about it... stay inside and paint on a picture maybe...trying not to work on a sunday ever again ..... coffee is tasty this morning...ear ache better.. not gone but better... back to doctor again Tuesday to see if they can finish getting it straightened out...
I'm still happy that SO FAR we have dodged the drought to the west that has so many suffering... pray they get rain soon

Racoon got into the flower beds again last night.
It digs up the plants looking for grubs. Probably going to have to kill it.

Yard work all done. Going to 80F today. Might make smoke later. Going for breakfast this morning at our favorite coffee shop. Couple more weeks and Alberta is fully open including no more mask crap.

Roper, that’s great. It’s pretty surprising how being mask free is so liberating. Kinda scary, not health wise but just how suppressed we were.

41 sunny degrees here in Dillon MT which is on the same side of the continental divide as Roper is. I’m starting to understand his constant winds as it’s been pretty windy here. Looking to hit the 80’s. We’re taking a scenic drive today and then coming back to do some light packing for our return home tomorrow. Finishing our trip tonight with some grilled ribeye steaks and bbq’d baked potatoes. Typical Montana June weather, run the A/C all afternoon and the heat all morning.

Awoke to a muggy 80° this morning. Took the dogs on a short walk as I was feeling a bit tired. Coffee, cereal, and a cinnamon roll for breakfast. I see Cooperhawk needs to make an Oreo run! Maybe do a bit of reloading today. Went to the range and did well with the 25-06. The .308 was shooting high and got frustrated. Upon returning home found a loose forearm screw! Hoping that was the culprit.

Got the Bonneville running again with a new coil. Headed out here shortly for a bike ride before it gets any hotter. Already 75 and headed to 97. Hot tomorrow and the next few days.

Sunny & hot, in the 90s. Got a pork shoulder roast in the Instant pot. Making some pulled pork. Smelling good already.

We started off with Champaign, then shrimp cocktail, thin sliced smoked salmon, strawberries,
pineapple and melon. There were also salads available.
Next course was prime rib, some bacon, scrambled eggs, and hash brown potatoes. There were also
sausages, pancakes, and special hand made omelets.
Then it was a lemon chiffon desert along with a piece of fudge cake.

We were home by noon and both in need of a nap. (Carol is still sleeping).

Another work week starts and happily I remain "sort of kind of retired" on the sidelines... coffee up and be happy all!

we awoke to a beautiful, 64 degree morning in Columbia, MO .... hate to see it but by the time we get to Nebraska City later this afternoon they are calling for 96 with a ReaLFeel of 103 .. .. regular breakfast of our favorite sausage, eggs and a single cup of Folgers

41 here in Dillon Mt. Heading home today, getting ready to start packing up. It’s only 6:00 am so I’ll have to wait for a bit before I start on the more noisy tasks outside. Once we’re on the road the first thing will be to climb up the Continental Divide only to drop into the Clarkfork valley. Then climb back up Lookout Pass into Idaho only to......well you know. Then up and over Fourth of July Pass in Idaho and back into Washington St. My transmission is going to be busy.

Brought a Wally’s sized can of Folgers Black Silk and it was getting low so stopped for an emergency back up can. So far it’s unopened but at least I’m sleeping at night.
