We decided early on that someone would run the house, (She would) and someone would be the head of the household. (I would.)
We made all the major decisions together, talking them out and coming to a mutual decision, but, If we couldn't come to an agreement, someone had to have the final say and as head of the household, ...
In the twenty eight years we have been married, I haven't had to make that hard decision more than a half dozen times. She didn't like it, but she respected it. I respected her for that.

Today is our 28 year mark and it’s been a great 28! 26 years with a papered marriage with two practice years first. Second marriage for the both of us and we both agree that the second time around hit the bullseye dead center.
