Got 4.5" of rain last night. Thunderstorms lasted pretty much all night long. Light rain still falling this morning with flash flood warnings continuing through early tomorrow morning. No flooding here at the moment. Jake
Wow Jake! Are you in that flood plain around Houston? We have spent some Winters near Dickenson and have seen the flood damage there from previous storms. Scary.
Pic from my front porch early this morning. Streets are clear now.

Up earlier than usual this morning. Rain chances are low for the most part of the day with chances of rain coming back this evening. Currently 66° and foggy outside (according to the weather). I'll take the dogs out for a walk a bit later. No breakfast as of yet.

60s this AM with light rain. Forecast to rain all day. We need it. seven tenths so far. :D
Folgers and Carol made me toast with marmalade, fried eggs over easy, and Old Folks Sausage. :D
Chill day for me. Take it easy and maybe work in the shop.
I was at a Legion meeting last night in Richfield, (about 18 miles north of us), and driving home
I got a weather alert on the radio and iPhone that a tornado had touched down really close to our
home. Carol was home alone and I know that when I'm gone she turns off the radio and TV and
listens to music, so I called her and warned her about it. Thankfully by the time I got home the
storm had moved north and no more danger.

Kinda get that sinking feeling in the pit of my
stomach when I think of her in danger and me not there.

Yeah, I know, what could I do if I was there.

43 heading to 58 with much needed rain overnight. Not a tremendous amount but we’ll take what we can get. With this rain predicted I spent some time yesterday scouting several treed areas for limbs and other debris and got that cleaned up. Today I will be mowing these areas now that I won’t be doing it in as large of a cloud of dust as I would have yesterday. Not enough rain to eliminate the dust but what we got will help.

Had a great breakfast yesterday. The night before we had sausage, eggs and fried potatoes for dinner. Out of eggs but used left over sausage and potatoes which I stuffed into a couple of flour tortillas with some cheddar cheese. Then I browned the breakfast burritos in a skillet and yep, they were wonderful!!! :D

Mostly cloudy today: currently drizzle and 63; a high of 82 expected. Couple of grandkids spent the night so I guess I’ll have to make pancakes! Watching Perry Mason “Case of the Unwelcome Well.” Everybody have a great day!
