Warm and muggy start. It'll be that way until next November or so. Supposed to hit 90° today for the first time of the year. Wife made an omelet this morning for breakfast. Ate that along with toast and coffee. I'm going to do some organizing today and start work on another clarinet restoration.

Up at 6:00 am and off to my sisters around 7:30. Made it by 10:00. Raining here now and supposed to do that the rest of the evening. Could not believe how light the traffic was on the way over.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Glad you had a safe trip with light traffic. Usually, as you've probably heard a time or two, and from my trucking days; too many a** h**** and not enough asphalt. 😁

Lots of rain and wind during the night...the rain will grow more grass....may make it a challenge to get trailer out of lot with butcher calf in tomorrow morning... but the old truck is 4 wheel drive... and I can tie the old 886 international tractor to it if I have to. I've drug lots bigger loads out of that lot that way in the past.... we will see what transpires... right now just sup on my coffee and enjoy the quiet time....

Warm and muggy as usual. Rain coming in today about noon as if we need more. Tomorrow should be better. Cereal, banana, and coffee.

T-ball tonight .. :D .. watching "300: Rise of an Empire" ... staring Sullivan Stapleton .... filmed in 2014

45, clear sky, north wind.
Folgers and cookies.
Yard work today.

VFW meeting last night turned into a shouting match. We met in a local church auditorium and
in the entrance was a sign, "Masks required". Several of our younger members simply took their
masks off sitting shoulder to shoulder.

One of the older members objected pointing out the many of the older folks are vulnerable.
Well, I've had the shots, but I agreed with him. The member in charge of the meeting became
incensed yelling that if he had to wear a mask he was resigning.
More back and forth shouting ensued.
I offered that we were guests there, that there were young people watching us, and we should honor
the request.

The Commander finally told everyone to settle down and if you aren't wearing a mask to social distance.
By the end of the meeting everyone was friends again, but I'm not sure what the final outcome will be.
Some of our younger members may not participate anymore.

Sounds like a situation that would not be fun to be part of Coop. Think I would have done a lionus exit stage right. Raining here today and cleared up by 2 pm. Topped out at 61 here on the west side. Headed to the east side tomorrow. I havent been to the cemetery where my mother is buried for 24 years. Its kinda out of the way. Told my sister I would like to go again before I cant see over the dirt anymore. So we are going. Mothers Day is close by so here is to Mom. I had the best Mom any son could ever ask for.

It was rather uncomfortable, but as an organization we do a lot of charitable work in the community and that rift needed to be healed. Can't do that if you leave. We scheduled a cook out for the next meeting. Out doors and no masks.

Forgers and cookies.
42, bright sunshine, light winds.
Need to put down fertilizer with weed killer today.

Our little owl friend is back. It's sitting in a tree about 40 feet from the kitchen window looking in. I kind of feel
sorry for it. It seems lonely.
If you ever watched Longmeir then you know that the owl represented a messenger in that series. Maybe it's trying to tell
us something. :o
