It was a historical week-end.

All 3 series had 1st time winners.

Congrats to Kyle and the 42 team.

Tony wound up 21st in his final Michigan race which was enough to formally clinch a postseason spot .... with his Sonoma victory in June and a steady hold on 26th in the driver standings

my girl started 23rd and finished 23rd

I have been expecting Larson to get the win before the 24 car did. Now it is Elliot's turn, but I would love to see Ryan Blaney put the 21 in Victory Lane.
Load on Sunday and Shoot all Week.......okay it's a Mare's Leg I will reload on Wednesday. ;)

Me too.

Although he's had some hard-luck finishes, he's done real well for the Wood Bros this year.

Had a respectable 4th Place finish today.

Good news for Tony.

BTW, I was wondering why you didn't mention Danica earlier, lol.

Jr's out for the rest of the season :

"NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. will miss the rest of the 2016 Sprint Cup Series season as he recovers from a concussion, Hendrick Motorsports announced.

Hendrick Motorsports says that Earnhardt Jr. has not been cleared medically by doctors and will continue to receive treatment.

“I wish I could return to the No. 88 team this season,” Earnhardt said in a statement. “To say I’m disappointed doesn’t begin to describe how I feel, but I know this is the right thing for my long-term health and career. I’m 100 percent focused on my recovery, and I will continue to follow everything the doctors tell me. They’re seeing good progress in my test results, and I’m feeling that progress physically. I plan to be healthy and ready to compete at Daytona in February. I’m working toward that." "

I was afraid that was going to happen, but I was hoping for the best. Really though, many years ago, I can remember the doctors telling him just one more and your done. I guess it's good that we've had him this long, but he still could be back. But if he's out for good, I won't be real surprised.

neither will I .... damage from concussions usually accumulates over time .... even if they get him back to where they want him, a future wreck could undo all of the rehab

At least the race is back when it should be. Labor Day just wasn't the same without it.

A great win for Truex !!

Also another great win for Sadler in the Xfinity series. Some good news there for Jr, his team owner.

I don't think I've watched a full race this season and of the ones I have watched its only been a few minutes and some I haven't even peeked at.

With Tony retiring next year I still haven't really decided who my new driver should be.
