Hiking to Fremont Lookout

Post by Sir Henry » Fri Aug 26, 2016 11:48 am

I hiked with the YMCA yesterday to the Fremont Lookout on Mount Rainier. Our high point was about 7,400 feet with about 3,000 feet of elevation gain.

Thanks for sharing your adventures, Sir Henry. Great scenery and a good looking group of hikers/climbers.

The last picture with the snow covering is very beautiful, SH.
Almost can smell a little cooler air!

Thanks again for letting us join your hike. Glad you get out with the YMCA group and enjoy the countryside & mountain side! :)

I noticed that there were several women in the photo. I guess they leaned to show up on time.

This is a totally different group. We have a few that are late but I can't control it other than ridicule them which seems to work. Only one was late once this year and her penalty was to buy everyone ice cream afterwards. It ended up costing her about $50.

Great shots Gene. Is that a fire tower you were hanging out at?

Nice last photograph. Suitable for framing.

Yes. The inside looked like every other fire lookout I've seen.

My horse gets tired just looking at the photos. That's quite a climb. Well done.
